Saudi civil defence men saved the life of a cat which was caught under a steel door at a local familys house in the Gulf Kingdom, a newspaper reported on Monday.
The house owner in the western town of Taif said he found the cat mewing and struggling to stay alive after the houses main door shut on it and he could not open it.
He said he had managed to pull the cats head out of the door but that its body remained stuck after the door was locked on it.
I tried to open the door but I was worried it could kill the cat. I decided to call the civil defence, who succeeded in freeing the cat unharmed, the unnamed Saudi said, quoted by the Arabic language daily Okaz.
Let me be the first to say it.
CATastrophe averted.
Ping
Looks like failure to escape stoning...
Poor kitty!
Yeah, that big ol’ stone sitting there is a little worrisome!
Glad kitty was saved!
8 more lives left.
now, if that was a dog?
Wherever, however and by any means possible by whomever,...I’m just glad the kitteh got rescued.
The cat was quoted later as saying..”shazam...that was a close one”...
I wouldn’t wish being an animal in a muslim country on my worst enemy. So glad to see that there’s one instance of kindness by an ‘unnamed Saudi’ - I’ve always been under the impression if it’s not a prize mare, they don’t care.
Well, a rare opportunity to say GOOD JOB to some men in Saudi Arabia!
Thank heaven for the elastic bodies of kittehs!
That looks like a pretty normal place my cat would have tried to nap.
I’ll skip the usual jokes about sheep and goats and just say that I agree.
Amen!
