The Precision Guided Firearm (PGF) developed by TrackingPoint is the most accurate shooting system in the world. Called the Xact SystemTM, it solves multiple problems that long range shooters face. The Xact System ensures repeatable performance and accuracy even at extended ranges.

The PGF also offers applications for smart devices. These apps interact with embedded wifi servers to share real-time or recorded images.

Not sure if its appropriate to post a link to a vendor's website. But I thought this tracking point system is pretty cool stuff.

The 'scope' includes optics, laser ranging, and a computer shooting solution with a heads up display. The thing won't let you pull the trigger until the shot is lined up.

The fanciest version is built around a .338 LM AI Arctic Warfare platform, and guarantees first shot hits out to 1200 yards.

Not cheap though. Almost as expensive as a Michelle Obama lunch. Anyway, sorry to be giving these guys free advertizing, but I thought some FReepers would appreciate seeing this.

Way out of my price range.
I’ll trust my years of training and practice to make the shot.

Probably not too well.I’ve always believed that trying to substitute tech gadgets for true markmanship skills was not the way to go.Master the fundamentals of markmanship and build your skills on that solid base.

Clairvoyant like knowledge of where the shot will hit should precede an accurate shot.
Also known as calling the shot. Being the bullet and sending it when you know the sight picture is right can’t be taught. It’s that “certain instinct”.

No doubt they’re aiming for the military as first-adopters.

But the competition for Xact is XACTO. Fire & Forget targeted ammunition.
