Girl Scout CEO Makes YouTube Plea Against Cookiecott
Breitbart ^ | 22 Feb 2014 | by Austin Ruse

There is now little doubt that the Girl Scout cookie boycott is having an effect on cookie sales this year.

Girl Scout spokesman Kelly Parisi went on The O’Reilly Factor this week to try and defuse the mounting controversy, and Girl Scout executives have sent threatening letters to their critics.

Girl Scout CEO Anna Marie Chavez took to YouTube on Thursday to deny all charges leveled by the boycotters and to deny at least one charge they haven’t even made.

“Recently, various individuals and organizations announced their intention to boycott GS cookies this year, based on mistaken beliefs about our movement," Chavez said. "These same individuals also believe the Girl Scouts has become too political.”

“We do not now, nor have we ever, had a relationship with Planned Parenthood," she claimed. "Girl Scouts of the USA believes that reproductive issues are deeply private issues best left to families. I find it unsettling that anyone would use the Girl Scout brand to have very adult conversations. A box of Girl Scout cookies is not a political statement.”

“We are committed to serving God and our country," she said. “I hope I have cleared up any misconceptions out there about the nature of the Girl Scout movement and what it means to buy Girl Scout cookies.”

Girl Scout watchdog groups say Chavez has cleared up nothing and responded with a flurry of fact checks provided to Breitbart News.

She’s the Queen. She never lifts a finger.

“Well then let them eat salads!”

Radical Feminists took over the GSA decades ago and booted God out when they did. They embed male-hatred and motherhood-hatred in girls....glorify Lesbian role models——and teaches disdain for marriage (to males) and children.

They allow insanity also-—little boys to join who look down and claim to be little girls. They see nothing wrong with allowing insanity to confuse and warp young girls ideas of male/female bodies-—and sexualize them and embed moral relativism-—no Right or Wrong (Marxism/Paganism.)

You sleep with dogs, you wake up with fleas.

Not the little girls’ fault but too bad, so sad.

Did you know that the Tonga di Parisi is a little french carrot? You scrub them up and toss them into a salad, stews, etc. They are easy to grow and fill tiny areas in the garden.

So does that mean that Miss Parisi is really a tiny 1-2” round carrot in a human suit?

I’ve been saying, “I’ve always bought Girl Scout cookies, but given the disgraceful propaganda agenda that has become part of the National Girl Scouts, I cannot in good conscience buy even one box of them. You parents and scout leaders ought to think about what you’re involving your daughters in. The older they go in Girl Scouts, the more they will become lifelong pawns promoting beliefs that are not yours, but then it will be too late. You should find or found a yourselves a youth group that fits your beliefs.

I couldn’t help it, the other day.

I coulduh swore I saw some Girl Scouts peddling cookies but, couldn’t recall where.

It had to have been with only an hour of my recollection.

I drove to every store I had passed and finally found em.

Bought 5 boxes of Thin Mint and Lemon cookies.

Yummmmm!

Sadly, they were devoured by me and my friends in only three days...

Til next year girls...

(sad face)

You can buy the same cookies in the store and they cost less. They’re actually better.

Mom and child with different surnames. Possibly no father around to be a male role model. Why is this so popular all of a sudden?

“The girls never see a real reward for their effort”

Anytime I see a child selling something for an organization that I appreciate, I just give them cash and tell them that I do not want their stuff. I assume that the cash goes directly to the organization (Boy Scout Troop) rather than have of repay for the popcorn that they sold me.

You can make a cash donation to a troop ... this is a targeted donation and it does not go to pay for National or International activities... only to the troop. By the way... most troops are run by Moms who are not into the crappola that comes from the National organization. They just want to give the girls a chance to camp, sing songs, cook on a campfire with a dutch oven... you know, the dorky stuff. Give them the cash and they don’t have to sell the cookies, nuts and calendars to earn the money.

The last year that my son was in Scouts they were pressuring us to sell some of the junk they sell. The troops got 25% of the sale. I asked how much they wanted us to sell and was $100 worth. I then said that since they were so interested in helping the pack, I would just write a check directly to the pack for $30, not sell my quota, and the troop would be better off.

Their heads almost exploded!!!!

I do the same

GSA has been funding PP for years. I won’t give to them. They use these kids to fund abortions.

My oldest started scouting when he was 6.

Every meeting was mostly about fund raising.

We were mailed a monthly newsletter, roughly 30 pages long. 90% or more was about fund raising.

I have a problem with the concept of begging to fund your experiences. Like you, I’ll write a check. If there are kids who can’t afford to participate I’ll pay for them as well.

We quit scouting after one year because of this.

Planned Parenthood has no problem using little girls to sell cookies that support them after all the girls were the ones who got away therefore they need to thankful and serve PP as willing slaves.

Like the Boy Scouts the Girl Scouts has be commandeered by the left to advance their agenda....when the BSA gave in to the leftists I removed them from my list of organization I contribute to I removed the GSA years ago. Frankly if you think your son or daughter needs this sort of thing organize moms and dads you know and do it with your sons and daughters instead of subbing it out to others!!

Can’t be better.

I take great pleasure in helping Girl Scouts learn about serving their troops, the GSA in general and being part of the community.

and I only eat junk like this once a year.

Can’t stand sugary cakes, cookies or sodas. But, it’s for a good cause.
