There is now little doubt that the Girl Scout cookie boycott is having an effect on cookie sales this year.
Girl Scout spokesman Kelly Parisi went on The OReilly Factor this week to try and defuse the mounting controversy, and Girl Scout executives have sent threatening letters to their critics.
Girl Scout CEO Anna Marie Chavez took to YouTube on Thursday to deny all charges leveled by the boycotters and to deny at least one charge they havent even made.
Recently, various individuals and organizations announced their intention to boycott GS cookies this year, based on mistaken beliefs about our movement," Chavez said. "These same individuals also believe the Girl Scouts has become too political.
We do not now, nor have we ever, had a relationship with Planned Parenthood," she claimed. "Girl Scouts of the USA believes that reproductive issues are deeply private issues best left to families. I find it unsettling that anyone would use the Girl Scout brand to have very adult conversations. A box of Girl Scout cookies is not a political statement.
We are committed to serving God and our country," she said. I hope I have cleared up any misconceptions out there about the nature of the Girl Scout movement and what it means to buy Girl Scout cookies.
Girl Scout watchdog groups say Chavez has cleared up nothing and responded with a flurry of fact checks provided to Breitbart News.

That is exactly what I do. I generally do not want the stuff their selling, but I try to help them when I can buy just giving them cash.
PLEASE STOP POSTING INCORRECT INFORMATION!
ALL of the revenue earned from cookie activities every penny after paying the baker stays with the local Girl Scout council.
Each council determines its own revenue structure depending on its cookie cost, local retail price, and the amount that is shared with participating troops and groups.

*Last night my Junior sold Girl Scout cookies at the local truck stop. Many of the truckers not only bought cookies but told her to “keep the change” ... her troop received $93 in direct cash donations. :-)
Those lemon cookies are my personal weakness! Yummy!!!
You brought your girls to interact with truckers at a truck stop?
OK
I think we’re done here.
It is not false information

I prefer the lemon cookies with that awesome creme inside but, these have less calories per ounce/box.
So, I ate em...
LOL
Good for you. I’ve just been saying, “I’m a former GS and long-time cookie buyer. I can no longer support the GS. Their values and mine no longer match”.
What’s your issue with truck drivers? Are they all child molesters? Is there something I need to know about them?
Truck drivers are the backbone of this country. They have many deserving folk rock and blues songs written about them.
They used to be the best drivers on the road, the most responsible and reliable and I always follow truckers when I am on a long trip and I need a focal point. I say used to be as the foreigners are messing up statistics in Texas.
A truck stop is no place for a pre or pubescent girl to be hanging around, and selling.
Anyone who disagrees, please check parent standards, youknow, would you want your daughter, niece, etc...
Alone and unattended by another trucker that is. Alone or with another girl.
I’ll also add that it is the same, if not better or worse, than a young girl looking for attention at a football practice, a frat keg party, a golf course bar, any place where there are just men.
Exactly! Support the troop by direct donation... screw the corporate organization.
What’s wrong with a truck stop? You hate truckers?
Wow.. this post is nutzzz!
Are you projecting personal experiences?
