Horror: Cops tackle, beat, pepper-spray, pin, suffocate, kill innocent man

Can you tell exactly what happened from the information provided here? I can't.

From the information provided:
1. The man committed no crime
2. Police charge that he was uncooperative; not a crime, and not justification for such a take-down.
3. Article says 4 cops, I count 5 in video, holding the man down. 3 pressing down on his chest and one on his neck.
4. When he’s unresponsive, no one checks for a pulse or performs CPR.

If there were video of me doing this to someone who died in the process, I would be in jail right now, awaiting a trial for 2nd degree murder. Because when 5 people squeeze the air out of a man who isn't moving on the pavement, a reasonable person would conclude that lack of oxygen leads to death, whether it be heart attack, asphyxiation, etc.

If the EMTs performed CPR on the way to the hospital, then the question has to be asked why the police were not doing so for the 3 minutes that he was handcuffed and unresponsive before they got there.

The woman kept asking about her husband's unresponsiveness and they kept brushing her off -- oh he's okay. Not only would they not help him but they also would not let her help him.

Supposedly we live in a country of laws designed to protect the weak FROM the strong. The law of the 'strongest wins' has no place in this country. I have laws to protect me from cops and a gun to protect me from everyone else.

why are you so quick to assume the cops were at fault? For all we know Rodriquez was an illegal alien or a gang banger and anti-police and provoked the response. We really do not know the facts except the police wanted to ask him some questions and he was not cooperative. This would not be the first time the media painted a false picture in order to incite a negative reaction from the public.

I'm not presuming, I'm reading the article and watching the video. YOU are the one presuming that the given facts are wrong. I used to give LEOs the benefit of the doubt. They have proven themselves unworthy of that.
