Facebook is starting to post pics of female stars I’ve never heard of on the red carpet in front of the advertising wall. Looking at those expensive dresses I note that black is the new black.

Indeed I read the terrorists who attacked the Chinese railway station were clad in black.

Leto was the ONLY actor in Dallas Buyer’s Club that I thought did a great job...

I’ve long predicted that the winners will be those entertainment products that professional reviewers here and elsewhere have articulately described as “amazing”, “awesome”, “incredible” and “it makes you think”, without ever telling us what it makes you think, so I’ve had to assume that it makes you think that it makes you think. Oh, and the acceptance speeches will be as always just “amazing”!

I like the Lawrence kid too, but the wife she played in American Hustle was no where an award worthy performance. But, she’s the golden gal in Hollywood right now so look for her to win another award tonight.

She’s ultra talented but her problem now is that she is playing parts she’s clearly too young to play. She’s in her early 20s and looks it.

I agree.. I LOVE JLaw... I live in Louisville. She went to middle school with my sons, and attended my church..

But, I thought she was TOO YOUNG for that role. She did well.. was one of the BRIGHT spots of the movie. But, I never fully bought in to the role.

She MIGHT win... just cause she’s SO HOT right now. But, I didn’t think it was her best performance.

He’s had a big comeback year. He was hilarious in a small part in The Wolf of Wall Street.

I’ll take that as a NO... I once had a work acquaintance named “Manny Borges”.... you have a similar sense of humor. Why not take a shot in the dark?

I have. OT yet seen it but I have a friend who is a HUGE movie buff and said that if Leto did not win he would never watch the Oscars again. Phil’s performance was that good and his favorite of anyone all year.

Her best movie so far has been “Winter’s Bone”. A great performance. A lot better than the movie she won Best Actress for last year.

But she is way too young to playing some of these parts. And if she does not slow down, she’ll be burned out by the time she’s 30.

And if she does not slow down, she’ll be burned out by the time she’s 30.

I've heard she's planning on taking a much needed break after completion of Hunger Games 3.

You may be right about Winter's Bone.. but, she DIDN'T win for that. She was VERY deserving, IMO, for her role in Silver Linings... she was the BEST part of that movie.

Should be seeing Best Supporting Actress soon...

If not, I don’t know if I can stay awake!
