The Kremlin is breaking out in laughter over the response by President Obama and members of his administration to Russia’s moves in the Ukraine, charged former U.N. Ambassador John Bolton in a radio interview Sunday.
Stated Bolton: “When you hear President Obama or members of his administration call on outsiders to leave the resolution of the problem of Ukraine to the Ukrainians themselves, they must break out laughing at that in the Kremlin.”
“They are never going to sit back and let that happen. And that’s what you see happening right now,” he said.
Bolton was speaking on Aaron Klein’s WABC Radio show in New York.
The diplomat warned “the whole world is watching.”
He continued: “If [Russian President Vladimir] Putin prevails in Ukraine, it sends a signal to all the republics of the former Soviet Union, and it sends a signal worldwide that under Obama American power and will are in decline.”
Bolton said Russia is using the crisis in Ukraine to assert itself internationally and re-establish its stronghold over former Soviet satellites.
“And [Putin] faces a weak, feckless Obama administration and a weak and disorganized European Union, which has made Western Europe less than the sum of its parts,” Bolton said.

God I wish this man was president instead of the boy clown we have. Uncle Vlad wouldn’t dare go around violating the sovereignty of other countries if Bolton was in charge.

Isn’t that too aggressive? Perhaps stern memo with some unicorn stickers on it will help Putin change his mind.
That 90 minute phone call with Putin was 40 minutes of Putin lecturing, 40 minutes of the translator translating Putin, and 10 minutes of Øbama saying “but ... but ... if I could just ... but ... I ...” [with apologies to Uncle Buck].
Well, we’re not going to hold the G8 conference in Sochi. That ought to send Putin scurrying back to the negotiating table. So long as the EU needs Russian energy (Germany worst of all), Putin has a winning hand diplomatically, and he already holds the winning hand militarily. 0bama and Kerry are in face-saving mode, subject entirely to how much Putin wants them to save face, and everyone in the Kremlin and the rest of the world knows it.

Why do we have to keep hearing from this neocon rubbish? Does he have any better ideas than Obama?
If he were president would he make stronger speeches that Putin would still laugh at?
Or would he declare war on Russia just for the heck of it?
When the world’s most famous beta-male is confronted by an alpha like Putin, the beta’s wimp factor is magnified. The wussification of the electorate has lead us to elect a whimpering snit as president. Putin realizes the world is at a serious imbalance in his favor.

Not only would they not be laughing, they’d never have had the nerve to do it. Every thug sizes up his target before he makes his move. Putin spent four years sizing up the Mahdi, seeing things like the Mahdi’s betrayal of Poland on ABM defense, the Witch’s “reset,” the Mahdi’s failure to support the Iranian Green Revolution, calling Nidal Hasan’s clear terrorism and treason “workplace violence,” and multiple other signs of anti-American weakness. From all of that and his knowledge of the Mahdi’s concealed, corrupt, and utterly compromised background, Putin reasonably concluded he could punk the Mahdi, just like a bull con playing drop the soap with a punk in a prison shower, and he did it. Now we’re all stuck with the horrific result.
The Mahdi’s a lot worse than a “whimpering snit,” he’s a punk, just like a punk in a prison shower who’s just gotten an invite from a bull con to drop the soap. We all know what happens after that.
Obama is a godsend to Putin — truly an ideal POTUS.

The race card doesn’t work in Russia. Our Old Media doesn’t have a near monopoly on news coverage in Russia. Obama is in completely over his head.
Shhhh you cannot speak the truth. Don’t you know Putin would hide in a corner if Bolton were President. Ukraine is a ethnic mess and the last place the US should waste a single bullet let alone commit soldiers. Let Russia and EU fight out the mess on their borders. Lest we forget commiting to defend Russian satellites essentially means a willingness to crossing a nuclear threshold. However unlikely that sounds it is the price of admission into this conflict.
We never get the best-qualified candidate as president. That's because he best-qualified never run.
