Our outdoor kitteh that adopted us, a neutered semi-feral guy, was given a black catnip mousie discarded swiped from our spoiled indoor Siamese. He loves it to death.
Perhaps in thanks, a day or two later, he left a large, dead, black rat in the back lawn for us to admire.
We praised him effusively of course. That is the job of an outdoor cat.
