Haven’t you heard of cyber sex? ;-)

I seriously doubt 10% of Americans know what an STD is.

I don’t think truckers stop in those places, if they can help it!

I remember when ‘blink’ worked here and you could post a blinking “WINK”.

You can still post <blink> elements. But they don't work anymore — at least not in Firefox since version 23, when they removed the feature from the browser.

Back further I believe marquee did work here but it can really make a mess without the closing tag!

It looks like FR strips out <marquee> elements. But they still work in both Chrome and Firefox. You can read Mozilla's documentation on the tag here.

If they said CSS was, they’d be correct.

Yes, I too recall blink and marquee working.

Waaaay back in the dark ages of the forum, noob me got into a thread.
Noob me used italics.
I neglected to close my tag.
The thread, from there, devolved into random open tags and thread slashing.
[Marquee and blink if memory serves.]

Well, Cyber came by, and tracked me down as the source of the italics.

I got depth charged.
*LOL, ouch*
He then, after stomping me good, told me how to keep my html clean.
But that thread... almost seventy five posts of “Italics OFF!” and “bold OFF!” among other things.
Somebody else changed the font size in there.
What a mess that was.

And CGEB... with the rainbow script.
*Shudder*

How many still know what LSMFT stands for?

That's what the Urban Dictionary is for.

http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=LSMFT

The placement of the slash in JPB's image indicates the American Tobacco Company knew the UD's alternative definition.

I’ve always used Internet Explorer and I used to do a lot of graphic posting using ‘tables’ with several images over a background. Hesitated to change browsers because I know what I’m doing here, lol.

Yea, they stopped the blink and marquee long ago - but I can still use them and javascript in my webpages!!

Lol, fun times! Just imagine if javascript worked! I DID find a little ‘script’ that works - just recently, and was surprised. Haven’t made use of it yet, but it’s non threatening....haha

LOL!
Uh oh.

“HTML leads to java, java leads to ActiveX, ActiveX leads to suffering.
The path of the darkside are these.”

Sounds like fun.

I’ll bet in the Middle East 99% of all respondents believe that RPG is a rocket propelled grenade. ;)
