In this situation common sense would have sufficed unfortunately bureaustocracy doesn’t do common sense.

*snort* there's part of the problem.
If any person within the public school system used their judgement in variance with “policy”, they are then personally accountable for that decision.
As it is, they can say they were just following orders and won’t be held accountable.
Sickening. But this is what our amoral society has led to.
