SONORA (CBS SF) — Three third-grade students at a Sonora elementary school were busted for smoking pot in the school’s bathroom last week.
Two 8-year-olds and a 9-year-old were caught by another student, who immediately informed school administrators. Those officials then alerted local police.
The students were questioned by officers, and later released to their parents on February 27th.
Sonora Elementary School Principal Chris Boyles would not speak with CBS SF regarding the case, but Superintendent Leigh Shampain confirmed that the students were caught smoking marijuana in the school’s bathroom. He would not discuss how the students might be disciplined.

Did the staff mistakenly confuse the healthy marijuana for Camels or Marlboros?

Co-ops all over the area for medical stuff, plus generations of pot heads and meth users them live in the area. Sad to say This is not a shocker.

Now, teacher, don’t you fill me up with your rules. But everybody knows that smokin’ ain’t allowed in school.
Wise members of the 4H club are going to run a medicinal pot stand (for acne, ADS, etc.) instead of a lemonade stand. It's for the children.
Aren’t the libs happy? They like it when kids smoke pot, have homosexual sex, and get abortions.
But if the kid says “Jesus” or “makes a gun with his fingers” he is expelled.
And now all the pot heads can ring in and tell us why this is a good thing

When I was growing up in Dallas in the 70’s, I smelled pot in the elementary bathrooms.
Right....as if that was the ‘plan’ all along.
Let’s substitute cigs, alcohol or Rx for pot. Are those any less offensive to your sensibilities that would cause your snide post?
I don’t recall seeing a bust of a cig smoker under the age in QUITE some time...it is not still illegal? Oh, but pot is somehow WORSE than the rest?
Maybe the need for nanny/big-gov’t and gov’t dictates are just fine and dandy with Conservatives when it’s something they agree with...it’s not Fascism when ‘we’ do it, right?
Not their fault, with the geography lessons and what not in schools today they probably thought they were in Colorado.
