An unbalanced homeless woman who once busted out of an Oklahoma jail attacked an 80-year-old man inside the Port Authority Bus Terminal on Saturday morning, officials said.
Danika Riley, 40, was stomping on the elderly mans head and kicking him with her work boots when Port Authority cops spotted the 7:30 a.m. attack on the second floor of the Midtown terminal on Eighth Ave. near W. 42nd St.

Dont let anything escape blame...
You left the other 1/3 of the parties directly to blame for a shooting, without which a shooting would be impossible.
The bullets.
One of Trayvon’s girlfriends?
“work boots”? What kind of work does she do?
The Port Authority Bus Terminal is the new Creedmore, minus the clinical staff.
His family should sue the city. Homeless trash all over the place. You literally step over them on the west side. I go into Penn Station every day and they’re are about 50 of them shuffling around menacing commuters. Smells like a homeless shelter. No a great first impression to tourists coming in on Amtrak. I’ve been commuting for 20 years and the last 5 years is the worst it’s ever been.
About the only question here should be “Is she so mentally ill that she represents a risk of harm to herself or others so should be institutionalized; or is she in enough control of her faculties that she can be imprisoned?”
Since both the law and the unwillingness to fund insane asylums has made it impractical for state asylums to function, yet there is considerable valid trepidation about any federally managed mental institution, the best outcome might be with multi-state compacts funded by those states under federal guidelines.
It would neither be easy to be institutionalized in one, nor once institutionalized, to be released, since each state would have a medical veto of both admissions or releases. And each state would pay proportionally to how many patients it admitted.
Each institution would have several sections depending on the severity, potential for release, and criminality.
That would have been my first question too.
August 2012 I was last there, with my deaf sister in law. My brother was at Presbyterian dying. So we were walking around and this woman starts screaming at us and spitting. My SIL didn’t hear, didn’t react - I steered her away. Scary.
I’m going to guess drug addict.
“Danika Riley”...

White chick.
Doper.
Look at the eyes.
Probably insane too.
“Danika”?
Amazing that the homeless looser turned out appearing to be white. (Guess my suspicious side came out too early. Sorry about that).

That popped out to me as well. In the Nineties, the daughter of a neurosurgeon admired my Red Wing steel-toe boots and wanted a pair. However, she had such narrow feet we couldn’t find anything in her size at the Harlem Avenue store in those days. I think she was trying to project an image of toughness in her Wicker Park neighborhood. Maybe that’s what this homeless nut was doing.
You need to get out more. Plenty violent white losers of both sexes out and about. Just be careful.
White chick in the woodpile.
