Apologies.

Posted on 03/10/2014 7:56:27 AM PDT by LouAvul

I'd like to apologize for my online behavior and inflammatory posts. When discussing the situation re illegal immigration I've used terms like "wetback."

When discussing things like the "knockout game", the white house, etc, I've used terms like "ghetto monkey."

It's shameful and sinful. It's a testimony to Jim Robinson's patience that I haven't been banned. It won't happen again.

Again, I'm sorry for that.

God forgives almost everything except blasphemy against the Holy Spirit according to what I understand from scripture. Not having been directly offended by your posts, I am nevertheless astounded that much of anyone these days would have a repentant attitude about anything. I certainly don’t see THAT very much. Commendable. Forgiven from this corner.

Thank you. Emotions run high on some of the issues we discuss. Thanks for your efforts to keep things civil.

It is big of you to acknowledge that the use of terms like that is inappropriate and wrong. As Ted Nugent has learned, you shouldn’t refer to someone as a subhuman mongrel either.

At least you didn’t say anything disrespectful about Putin. His disciple swoop down to defend him and his cult. That’s really not politically correct.

It’s easy to get your anger and frustration filter into a post. I should have been banned during the last election.

We’re seeing a systematic dismantling of our country. We have a man in the WH who doesn’t understand the first thing about free markets. He doesn’t understand the simple premise that his policies are hurting the poor and middle class more than anyone.

Why do we have $3 plus gasoline in this country? How can a single person let alone a single parent aford that?

I could go on and on but suffice to say that I can understand your frustration.

I’m not implying anything, but I have a rule never to post when I’ve had anything to drink.

I know you are being nice but there is a reason that illegal Mexicans are called “wetbacks” in Texas. They swim the Rio Grande to get to Texas. If they don't like that name, they can walk across the NM AZ or CA border to illegally enter the US.

I’ve felt the same way and have had similar regrets. These are frustrating times.

Hey, we all get frustrated and angry and lose our cool from time to time. It’s understandable. Every day it seems we are inundated with negative stories about the current administration attacking every aspect of our nation and way of life. Some days the news just makes one want to rage.

It’s all good.

sinful?

look the deal is to express yourself forcefully without giving the enemy anything legitimate to hang its hat on to criticize you for.

most of us here are pretty passionate about truth and honesty and what we are dealing with is a pack of liars, murderers and thieves, so it is not surprising that things can get intense.

so, i haven’t noticed your posts, but I do not believe in calling anything a monkey, an ape (although they did it to President Bush and they are not fit to kiss Bush’ foot) because it makes FR look mean and stupid.

Anyway, it is a challenge to express oneself, and the mods have been on me occasionally for cuss words, although I maintain cuss words are the only way sometimes.

A few rules that I have that really help: Even in real life, I rarely, if ever, say something in anger that I don’t mean. It’s not like I’m superior or anything. I just don’t seem to have that particular vice. The downside is that if I do say something really negative, I MEAN IT.

But the more important rule is that I don’t use euphemisms like “scumbag”. I usually don’t call democrats “dumbocrats”, etc. because only the choir gets it and the other side sees it as sophomoric. If I think a guy is a scoundrel, that is what I will call him. I don’t even know what a scumbag looks like.

And regarding the Knockout game, I will call them feral youth’s because that is not name-calling. It is simply calling them what they are. Literally.

And sometimes calling them what they are is the most effective way to deal with it. People can call you out for calling them names, but when you use strong negative words for calling someone what they actually are, if they protest, you present your case. Like when you call a person a bastard, it begs the question: Are they?

I’ve changed my own direction over the years.

These days you’re more likely to find me seeking a means of reaching out to groups of Americans who tend to lean democrat. I simply show respect, explain why I’m a conservative, and how conservatism will be good for them.

I’ve made a lot of unlikely friends that way and that just gives me a chance to promote conservatism even more.

I would much rather have some one speak their mind, than hear some one is covering their speech with Political Correctness.

That’s not to say we cannot strive to be civil, but “wetbacks” is an accurate description of many illegals, sometime long ago, even the news casters used the term.

Wish we had more of that here on FR (self inc.)

It’ interesting to note which words some people find objectionable by some people but acceptable when uttered by others.

I lived on the border for years and heard many illegal aliens refer to themselves as “mojados”, wet ones; or “mojaditos”, little wet ones. That seems not too far from the “objectionable” word.

I will not repeat terms I have heard African Americans refer to themselves as. Nor homosexuals.

It’s quite alright if you want to refer to me as a redneck, cracker, honkey though.
