I will give them a reason. See me? No? That’s why. I LIVed and worked in NYC for years and never received a glance from one of these “girls.” I was too ugly, too short, too bald, too Jewish, too hairy, not the best dresser, dont have a 6 figure income. Even though I could carry on an intelligent conversation, you “girls” were looking for George Clooney.
Well, I was not Clooney. I met a pretty girl in a bar, and while she had no interest in me, I kept her engaged long enough to get her number and get a date. She outright told me she was humoring me and we probably wouldn’t get past drinks.
That was 25 years and two children ago.

Oldest was engaged to a “dreamboat”. She is gorgeous and he was blindingly handsome.
She ended up married to a regular looking guy (no dreamboat) who loves her dearly, who shares her values, who wants a family, who is brave and takes care of her.
I wish men would stop the superficiality. I have a beautiful overweight daughter who would probably be any man’s dreamboat wife, she is intelligent, attractive, funny, devoted, kind and beautiful both inside and out.
American men don’t give her a second glance.
Love your story. Best wishes to you and your bride.
