I remember a sermon preached to a bunch of Militia officers, in it he mentioned being stationed at the Naval Ammunition dept outside of Charleston in the early 60's, he mentioned seeing other Marines, rub the head of a black for luck. The sermon dealt with how we were and were not to treat our men in times of CallUp.

I also grew up in the South and the only way I knew about this was by reading it. I’ve never seen it or heard anyone speak of it.

A fellow Freeper said that it took the Fire bombing and total destruction
of Germany to make the Germans understand that their unwavering support
of Hitler brought about their end. I fear it will take more than the total destruction
of our currency and way of life to wake people up. The takers will remain the takers
