I hope so too but I’m nervous.

Things can go wrong and it would gut me to lose her.

Will she need assistance? Will she deliver eggs, or live births?

Can you do some research to find out what to do if anything should go not as planned?

I feel like the mother-in-law here!

And I imagine that it would be a terrible tragedy for you to lose any of them.

Except Nancy, I guess. J/K!!!

Live birth.

Sometimes though, expectant snake moms up and die for no reason.

It’s nerve wracking.

I admire Nancy’s spunk.

She’s just a puny little worm but did not hesitate to take a wicked swing at me.

Snappy baby boas is normal.

To them, at this size, everything is something wanting to eat them.

They’ll grow out of it.

Ruby is the one to watch right now.

Her head is as big as my hand and she currently is *really* in a righteous snit.

:)

How often do you have to kick Jake off.

“Jake, for the last time, your allotted Freeping time is over. Off my computer! It’s bad enough I have to share Freeping time with The Boy as we’ll....”

He crawls around for a while, watches some videos with me and then goes around the back and falls asleep near the fans where it’s warm.

If it weren’t for fear of him pulling an “Alice’s Adventures In The Wall”, I’d let him out all the time.

Too dangerous though.

They really don’t have a lick of sense.

Shortly after that, he noticed and then became obsessed with "the other snake outside the car".

I'm guessing snakes don't 'get' that whole mirror thing...:)

It was chilly so I took him into Lowes with me, stuffed under my coat.

He poked his head out and a lady jumped and squeaked so he spent the rest of the time in Lowes hiding in my coat and then popping out at people.

He *almost* got named Weasel, instead.

He is, hands down, my coolest, most personable snake.

We live with them here too, rattle snakes, cotton mouths, coral snakes etc.. These are indigenous native species that evolved here. Pythons from southeast Asia and south America didn’t.

Kind of like the snakehead and carp that are ruining our waterways and killing indigenous species.

I revere all Gods creatures in their rightful place. Except mosquitos, I do not believe they serve any useful purpose whatsoever.

And that is why the “Burm problem” will eventually self-resolve.

They are not made for our weather and will not continue indefinitely, especially with the recent cold spells that far south.

Mosquitoes serve a grim purpose.

Population control.

Creepy, innit?
