A Hilton Head Island man reported that a woman stole his cellphone at a bar Friday by hiding it in her bra, then demanded cash to return it, according to a Beaufort County Sheriffs Office report.
The 23-year-old victim told deputies he had been drinking heavily at Reilleys at Port Royal Plaza on Hilton Head about 1:30 a.m. when he dropped his company phone on the floor. A woman picked up the Samsung Galaxy, put it in her bra and said he could have it back for $40, according to the report.
The man withdrew the cash from an ATM and returned to give it to the woman, who then asked for $200. The man followed the woman around the plaza the rest of the night trying to get his phone back, but she refused, the report said.
On Saturday, the man called his phone and spoke with the woman, who agreed to meet him in Hardeeville near Interstate 95 exit 8. She later changed her mind and stopped answering his calls, the report said.
The victim reported the theft to the Sheriffs Office later that morning. When deputies asked why he did not seek help from officers while he was at the bar, the man said he thought he could handle it and didnt think calling the man was necessary.
Deputies told him it was unlikely they would be able to recover the phone.
I'm sure he is a fine, upstanding citizen, but I suspect he lost the phone and filed a report assuage the wrath of his boss.
Probably didn't work though.
Y’All got some strange Bar stuff going on in SC.
Yesterday some Bar Owner put up a sigh saying no guns and called gun owners morons or something to that effect.
Example #1,689 why going to a bar and getting drunk rarely leads to good things.
Example #1,689,000,000 why going to a bar and getting drunk rarely leads to good things.
There, fixed it.
Titillating story.
His ring tone should be Joe Wilson’s Clevage Song. It’s on You Tube should you want to hear it. :Cleavage makes the world go ‘round”
That is a pretty regular item on my local police blotter.

Another thread that’s useless without pictures.
(Still, I’m betting that she’s guilty!)
Frankly, he should have punched her in the face and taken his phone back. And once he had his phone he should have punched her again for good measure.
Would be the last time she tried that.
There’s a big busted gal in my office that carries her phone in her bra. I call her on purpose just to watch her take it out.
