Google CEO Larry Page has an unusual idea about what should happen to his billions should he die. Instead of giving it to a philanthropic organization, he'd rather hand over his cash to Elon Musk, the founder of Tesla, SpaceX, and Solar City.
In a conversation with Charlie Rose at a TED conference on Wednesday, Page said he wanted his money going to capitalists like Musk those with big ideas for changing the world according to a report at Wired.
He thinks Musk's vision for going to Mars "to back up humanity" is inspired. He said, "Thats a company, and thats philanthropical."
According to some people on Twitter, Page even went as far as to suggest that everyone give their money to a corporation that was trying to accomplish big stuff.

For those who don’t know who the heck Elon Musk is called by some people — the “Tony Starks” of the 21st century.

You would think that a big time liberal would want the money to go to the government.
No, he wants YOUR money to go to the government.
All African-Americans should strive to be like Elon Musk.
I’m thinking some if the super rich liberals might be starting to get a clue that the current “big Democrat government” is much worse than the Republican fatcat government ever thought about being
Musk appears to be a major crony capitalist with a cult like following. He has a $30 Billion market cap car company which makes no profit on the sale of around 20k cars per year. But these fast, expensive, government subsidized cars are popular among rich ‘greenies’ who believe burning fossil fuels to generate electricity to power a 4700 lb tank is somehow better than burning fossil fuels to power a 3000 lb economy car.
This is a HUGE, and very — unexpectedly — conservative and free market sentiment coming from the depths of the Evil Empire of Google. Look at how Bill Gates has flushed his billions down a Third World toilet and pimped eugenics on poor minorities instead of technology or hope. Page rocks!
I know who Elon Musk is but didn’t know who Tony Starks was. I accidentally searched for Tony Sparks at first. It had me really confused.
In 2009, Spacex employed 600 people and had launched a few times with mixed, but improving, success.
They now have 3800 employees and have flown 2 missions to the ISS with docking, and launched 3 commercial missions with 2 of them super synchronous geo transfer orbits.
Which works better: welfare or investment by a guy who has a clear vision?

I consider his massive donations to eradicating polio not to be a waste. Hate him and some of his efforts, but not everything he does is bad.
It’s a free (sorta) country...
Or "Tony Stark" the Marvel superhero?
It could be both.
Musk gets a lot of free government money for his endeavors, so paying taxes is a way of donating money to Musk.
Free government money?
So the COTS program was not competitive?
That’s funny.
Far more has gone towards "family planning education and services". He and his wife have also said some rather disturbing statements that would have earned a pat on the back from Margaret Sanger (Bill Gates: We can lower the worlds population with vaccines
I said absolutely nothing of the kind.
