I understand what you are saying but this is the type of questions which will destroy candidates.
GOP running against Udall in Colorado Senate will get similar questions in the next 6 months.
Perhaps what should bother us more is the percentage of statists in office, as opposed to the flavor of statist—Democrat or Republican.
The sooner we tire of ALL statists and cease to justify or defend their behavior, the sooner our nation improves.
