Madisonville, LA - Col. Rob Maness (USAF, ret.), the conservative candidate running against Mary Landrieu for the United States Senate, is honored to accept the endorsement of Eagle Forum, the nation's leading organization in the fight to preserve traditional values.

"Phyllis Schlafly's long-standing, proven commitment to limited government, national sovereignty, and traditional American values is truly remarkable," Maness said. "Phyllis Schlafly and Eagle Forum understand that there has been a dangerous increase in the federal government's power and a retreat from the traditional values that created a country of strong individuals, families, churches, and communities.

"As Louisiana's senator, I will protect life, marriage, families, and local control of education," Maness pledged. "Too often government fosters broken families through ill-conceived economic policies. We need to return to the values that made America the greatest country in the world: liberty, individual responsibility, and hard work." -

I know that LA has a “strange” Primary. All candidates, from all Parties, are on the same ballot. The top two will be in the run-off in December. Anyone seen any recent polling data. I can’t stand Mary Landrieu and I hope the Lady who was bought off for her ObamaCare vote, which was called “The Louisiana Purchase”, gets what she deserves and her fat ass is defeated.

I would love to see Maness be in the top two in November, but he doesn’t have money right now, and I don’t ever see ads for him. The establishment is backing Cassidy, but I would much prefer Maness defeat Hillary Landrieu.

Yes, I know that patriot Phyllis Schlafly is very much aware of the federal government's constitutionally limited powers. But how did Rob Maness reply when Eagle Forum asked him (ahem) if he would respect Congress's constitutional Article I, Section 8-limited powers if elected?

"As Louisiana's senator, I will protect life, marriage, families, and local control of education," Maness pledged.

In fact, I find it disturbing that the federal government has no direct constitutional authority to address the issues that Maness mentioned. Is he using Democratic-type promises to try to win votes from low-information voters, voters who have never been taught about the federal government's constitutionally limited powers?

Maness should be a top contenders for Vitter’s seat (when he becomes Governor) if Cassidy is in the top 2.
