Comcast Cable Miseries!

Yesterday... Comcast cable...my internet service provider...for the TIME BEING....had a Planned Outage,...in order to upgrade equipment that services this area.

No Prior Notice was given to paying customers,

During my call to :customer service" Yesterday...no mention was made of that fact that this WAS a planned outage.

This Morning I experienced another Outage.

Today's call to comcast customer service was Unbearably frustrating.

The representative told me...that this was a planned outage...and an unplanned outage. AGAIN no announcement was made PRIOR to the outage. They do have an EMAIL SERVER dont they? Would it have taken a tremendous effort and great expense to ALERT CUSTOMERS of these matters prior to the planned outages?

Im in Marin County California, and looking for a better Service Provider.

I believe if you purchase true business-class access they have to maintain a certain level of uptime and if they don’t the contract specifies penalties.

I was NOT aware of that, perhaps because I would not know ANYTHING
about where, or who would provide porn sites!!!!!

There was a thread the other day. I hate all these companies, really; there aren’t any clean ones. All you can do is lock your access down with OpenDNS or similar; set Google and Bing searches to SafeSearch and monitor closely if you have kids.

news! No Facebook, No twitter, AND NO PORN!!!

If they’re doing maintenance I wouldn’t worry too much, it’s actually a good thing and will save you headaches down the road

I “wish” that they would have had the presence of mind to think to announce the possible interruption of services via EMAIL prior to doing planned maintenance.
