Economics: Work and Prosperity,, by Russell Kirk is an awesome economic introduction with historic background for kids aged junior high and up.

It has been a joy to read and teach to homeschooled kids this semester.

There was this guy I used to see at the dog park with a dog named “Bird”. It looked to me like a kind of coon hound, but I figured it was just some sort of bird hunting dog given the name. I later found out the dog’s name was “Burr”, because “he shot Hamilton”. To this day I wish I would have gotten the chance to shake the owner’s hand.

PS. My male dog’s name is Hayden.
