So they are going to cut these jobs, who will sit and draw arm chair money for 2 yr UE or buy outs. Either way it comes out of our pockets. This is thousands of jobs.

I can only speak for my own experiences with ES, IT SUCKS! Your drugs will be coming from CHINA.
TRICARE LIFE Retired Military over 65 just received this noticed 2 weeks ago, takes effect 4/14/2014, why they sent a prelim with out the drug list is WASTEFUL spending in itself!
We learned last week that the new DOD budget is forcing us to use either Base or Express Scripts MANDATED Tricare Life. starts next month. 4/14/14, still have not got the formulary, waste to do 2 send outs. Express Scripts is a sorry excuse of a provider. You never know if your order is right, what generic, what manufacture, or what country. All thrown up on your porch for the local thieves and meth makers to steal. And they do not keep track of your drug side effect list.
YOU WILL LOSE YOUR PHARMACY THANKS TO NEW DOD BUDGET!

This is a Prelim letter, we don’t even know at this time which drugs are going to be on the list. Waste of money to not send out the full thing.
1 Transfer your medication from a retail pharmacy to save , convenient Tricare Home Delivery and pay less out of pocket! A typical cost for a 90 day retail supply is $51 but only $13 for Home Delivery.
2 Ask your doctor about using a low cost generic that is not among the medications included in the Pilot Generics can still be filled at retail for $5
3 Transfer maintenance medications under the Pilot from retail pharmacy to a military pharmacy. Call your local military pharmacy to see if they have you medication
4 Continue to get you selected maintenance medications at a retail and pay 100% of the cost of the medication starting with your third refill.
If you refill your selected maintenance medication’s at a retail pharmacy after March 14, 2014 you’ll get letters from the Tricare Pharmacy contractor Express Scripts, Inc about switching to Home Delivery. Remember, starting with your third fill you will be responsible for 100% of the cost of the medications if you chose to continue to obtain them at a retail pharmacy.
If you have other health insurance with a prescription benefit, you do not fall under the Pilot. There will also be a process to obtain waivers on a case by case basis, due to personal need or hardship, emergency or other special circumstaces-0 such as living in a nursing home. After participating in the Pilot for 1 year you may opt out.

I feel your pain. I sensed years ago that Tricare (then it was CHAMPUS) was a benefit that Congress bestowed and could just as easily take away. Since I retired from active duty in 1985, I’ve bought private health insurance through my employers. Expensive, but at least it’s a written contractual arrangement, unlike Tricare.Hope it doesn’t happen for Y’all.

We have never been in a financial situation where we could afford more than what was provided. Champus for 20 yrs, then he taught for 20 and that paid medical there. So we are down to Medicare/Tricare Life.
They shut down the civie pharmacies to us, that too cost jobs.
We’ve had the same pharmacy nearly 30 yrs. Personal service, name known when you walk in, and the special brand I take of water pills is put aside for me, as they are ‘0’ shorted imports. There are 3 manufactures, only 1 works.

This is so frustrating, it is a damned if you do and damned if you don’t situation. We want budget cuts, but we don’t want them to sit on their BACKSIDES DRAWING ARMCHAIR MONEY FOR 2 YRS.
GOP should have stopped the UE at 3 months. LONG AGO! And deported all ILLEGAL INVADERS which would open up jobs, for these people.
Instead we get this. And our health care ruined. I know what ordering from ES will do to me. And it is not pleasant. Nor do we have the funds for 100% pay for your drugs. I already take most generics, but am so drug sensitive even the manufacture is a issue. Only 2 name brands. And they are 2 of my biggest headaches. They both cause Bone Density DRUG INDUCED OP. Synthroid 29 yrs, Nexium 5 yrs. OA, Estrogen, and a long list of drugs tore up my GI system.
I can try to ween off the Nexium, but there is no way to get off the Synthroid. allergic to generic. Had to fight ES for a year to get the name brand. Whole $7 bucks difference in cost. Not only has the Nexium damaged bones, but caused Barret’s Esophagus. GER is so Bad I puke acid with out it.
Then there are the jobs at the private pharmacies that will be lost too. 0 and his henchmen have destroyed our country.
Not for Tricare Prime, just Tricare Life. I am sure yours will have a hit coming in increased cost of co-pays and premiums of up to 3 times the amount you out lay now. And will have to go Express Scripts for your meds, like we are going to be MANDATED to do.
This is not going to help, it will throw a lot of people out of work, and onto UE for 2 yrs or buy outs. Either way we are screwed.
