Wednesday, March 26, 2014 An Egyptian bride murdered her husband by hanging him with the help of her brother during her honeymoon on the grounds she does not love him.
The woman told police she had been forced to marry that man and that she planned to kill him because she could not live with him.
Newspapers said police arrested Bashayer, 23, and her 22-year-old brother on charges of murdering her husband at their house in a small village in the eastern Al Sharqiya province.

She was forced to marry him, so from where I sit it’s legitimate self defense.

All cultures are equal bump. Well you have to admit this is kind of the opposite of the usual stories we get about marriages over there.

hanging him with the help of her brother during her honeymoon on the grounds she does not love him”
sort of obvious, no?

I guess the deceased husband was not so perceptive or savy. OR... he was extremely desperate.

Interesting that they give the ages of the bride and her brother, but not the husband.

If she refused to marry him, she would have been "honor killed" by her parents.
She killed him, and admits it, so she will be executed.
I guess she figured she might as well get some satisfaction out of her death.

there used to be a saying, something to effect of, “communists just kill you...but socialists torment you your entire life.”
