World Vision reverses decision to hire gays

A prominent evangelical charity is reversing a policy change announced two days ago to hire Christians in same-sex marriages.

The humanitarian relief agency World Vision said in a letter to supporters Wednesday that the nonprofit had made a mistake by changing its policy for the U.S. The aid group’s leaders said they were broken-hearted over the pain the decision had caused. …

The US was the ONLY place they were changing the policy in the FIRST place. They still (AFAIK) do NOT allow that in other sections of the organization.

I think that the decision was ONLY for the USA...If I recall correctly, the foreign entities do NOT allow for this.

Feel free to correct me if I am wrong, but that is how I read the story a couple days ago.

Yes, I think you are right. They were buckling to the sodomites in America....it was NOT going pro-sodomy everywhere else.

This was a terrible, terrible decision that will effect their organization for years, I think.

This is the reverse of the Komen decision to walk away from the infanticide lovers at Planned Parenthood....they did that, got kudos from Christians, then backed off when the baby killers threatened them....I have quit giving to Komen....and I was donating.

Yup, they’d never get another dime from me if they participate in this destruction of our moral values. In fact, no more donations from us for at least 2 years. A year per day of their idiocy.

We all make errors in judgement. WEe all sin. Heck...I’ve made some doozies. The thing is that 1 John 1:9 STILL IS IN EFFECT...

You are so, soooo correct. I was just telling another Freeper in a PM about what a sinner and sometimes hypocrite I have been in my life. Thank God for His mercy, because I don't deserve His grace. We should pray for Richard, and I will.

There are many worthy Christian organizations that don't compromise their Biblical beliefs - reward one of them by giving them your check instead of Worldly Vision.
Once you drink from the cup, you cannot undrink from it.

Yeah, Komen support here has dropped off substantially. One of their big supporters in the Walk here were Catholic church parishes, and all their teams no longer participate.

Almost every time someone speaks the truth about homosexuality, I read about their apology a few days later.
