A prominent evangelical charity is reversing a policy change announced two days ago to hire Christians in same-sex marriages.
The humanitarian relief agency World Vision said in a letter to supporters Wednesday that the nonprofit had made a mistake by changing its policy for the U.S. The aid groups leaders said they were broken-hearted over the pain the decision had caused.

Glad they reversed the decision...however, they need a new board. Pronto.
The US was the ONLY place they were changing the policy in the FIRST place. They still (AFAIK) do NOT allow that in other sections of the organization.
I think that the decision was ONLY for the USA...If I recall correctly, the foreign entities do NOT allow for this.
Feel free to correct me if I am wrong, but that is how I read the story a couple days ago.
Yes, I think you are right. They were buckling to the sodomites in America....it was NOT going pro-sodomy everywhere else.
This was a terrible, terrible decision that will effect their organization for years, I think.
This is the reverse of the Komen decision to walk away from the infanticide lovers at Planned Parenthood....they did that, got kudos from Christians, then backed off when the baby killers threatened them....I have quit giving to Komen....and I was donating.
Yup, they’d never get another dime from me if they participate in this destruction of our moral values. In fact, no more donations from us for at least 2 years. A year per day of their idiocy.
Buh bye, world vision.... Hello Salvation Army.
somehow this seems nefarious.
what are they selling to these homosexuals?
You are so, soooo correct. I was just telling another Freeper in a PM about what a sinner and sometimes hypocrite I have been in my life. Thank God for His mercy, because I don't deserve His grace. We should pray for Richard, and I will.
Blessings.
There are many worthy Christian organizations that don't compromise their Biblical beliefs - reward one of them by giving them your check instead of Worldly Vision.
Once you drink from the cup, you cannot undrink from it.
What a bunch of morons. How did this seem like a good idea to them?
“It took years of prayer for them to come to the first decision, but only a day or two to come to the second decision. “
Yeah, I’d love to hear an explanation of that.
“God led us to this decision and obviously God was wrong”.
Ah, well that makes a bit more sense. Thanks for the clarification.
What the HECK kind of apology is THAT!!! "We're sorry if you think we hurt you."
Yeah, Komen support here has dropped off substantially. One of their big supporters in the Walk here were Catholic church parishes, and all their teams no longer participate.
I think the continued qualification for US government funding was the reason for the US angle.
Too late WV. You’ve already shown your hand.
kirsten powers is calling franklin graham a liar, slanderer, and bully on twitter.
the gaystop on twitter vow boycott on world vision for caving in to bullies. i have one thing to say to them. ‘you didn t build that!’ world vision was founded, and supported by evangelicals.
Exactly. If only the silent majority would be a little less silent about this.
Almost every time someone speaks the truth about homosexuality, I read about their apology a few days later.
For God’s sake, speak the truth and stand by it!
