An apology is not enough - World Vision needs to clean house

World Vision, in one of the most abrupt turnarounds in modern history, has done a complete about-face on its embrace of sodomy-based marriage.

Less than 48 hours after saying the organization was just fine hiring couples who were in same-sex "marriages," the organization has repudiated that stance, acknowledging that the board "made a mistake," and admitting they had failed "to be consistent with World Vision U.S.'s commitment to the traditional understanding of Biblical marriage."

Says its president and board chairman, "We...humbly ask your forgiveness."

Wow, I guess my comment on their website made a difference....

Mine and several million others!

Too late, World Vision, there are many others whom I trust more with my donations.

Two possible reasons for reversing your policy and then reversing it back:

1. Publicity stunt.
2. Company run by idiots.

And there are two versions of number two. Either they read the tea leaves horribly wrong or they actually strongly agree with their first reversal in a way so narcissistic that they fooled themselves into believing it would be a popular move.

Yeah, you wonder what the director and the board are thinking in the first place, to make such a knuckleheaded announcement. And their reversal doesn’t necessarily mean they have changed their minds.

I don’t want to fight anyone but a lot of others are ready to fight and the gay marriage crowd is fighting desperately with their commando court raids in Utah at Christmas and Michigan last Friday.

I believe the gay marriage issue is ultimately about the government taking over the churches like Germany in the 1930’s, Communist Russia and even King Henry in old England.

Gay marriage will defined as acceptable religion and opposition to gay marriage will be criminalized religion and will be persecuted by the state.

For all those poor folks who think equality of marriage is the real issue, they are deceived. They are tools of militants with a political agenda who will tell them criminalizing religions that disapprove of their lifestyle will be the next step after their “marriages” are legalized by the Supreme Court.

they on;y did it because of the heat, not because they believe it’s the right thing to do. they said the board spent YEARS praying about this and decided unanimously to be pro-gay marriage in the workplace. They said the churches deal with this issue, they don’t, they compartmentalized away their morality b/c it’s somehow okay to do so at work.

That shows an extreme lack of biblical discernment across the entire board. two days later, after years of prior prayer..?? they change their minds.

Apology isn’t enough. that ENTIRE board is corrupt and not to be trusted to make proper biblically-based decisions.

Is this the same World Vision that does all the hokey car giveaway flyers I get in the mail?

I read on Charity Navigator that next to nothing goes to the actual charity.

Presbyterian and Church of Christ pastors (both very pro gay churches)

Be careful, the Church of God in Christ (liberal) is NOT the same as the Church of Christ. Also, just using 'Presbyterian' does NOT mean United Presbyterian Church (liberal).

Even liberal denominations have conservative congregations.

NOTE: I'm not trying to defend World Vision or their board.

I have been attempting to post Board members but laptop froze up.

World Vision's "Partner" organizations are: UNICEF; International Red Cross; US AID; Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, just to name a few.

Right you are. Our conservative Bible believing Presbyterian church voted to cut all ties with the Liberal United Presbyterian Church.

No contributions from me unless they clean house, period. What they advocated was sin. What they advocated was anti-biblical.
