Reminds me of my nephew when he was about that age.

His folks lived out in the country and had a long 200’ dirty driveway from the highway to their carport.

One day, after a rain, he went outside. I watched as he approached the first of about a dozen small puddle. In he went, stomping with both feet. He repeated that at every puddle out to the highway. Of course, by the time he got back to the house, he and his shoes were completely drenched. But he had fun.

Heh... there was a luggage ad that was similar, in the ‘80s or early ‘90s. The travelers with the new, lightweight suitcases could tiptoe through the puddle, while those with old, heavy luggage would plunge out of sight. Clever.
