David Egan, a 16 year-old from Parkview High School in Lilburn, Georgia was beaten so badly in the locker room that his nose was dangling from his face. The Blaze reported:
It was all over a pair of missing tennis shoes.
David Egan, 16, was confronted by another 16-year-old male student in their high school locker room apparently over the missing shoes — and then Egan was beaten so severely by the unnamed student that he needed reconstructive surgery to reattach his nose to his skull.
The brutal assault was captured by other students and posted on the internet.

The boy’s father said his son would not be returning to the school. The school never called 911 after the attack.

Charges have been filed after a student was punched in the face at school, and it was all caught on video.
Wednesday afternoon, a Gwinnett County father reached out to 11Alive News to show us a video of his son being punched in the face at his Gwinnett County high school.
David Egan is a sophomore at Parkview High School. His father, Daniel, says the student was leaving weight lifting class Tuesday morning when he was confronted by another student in the locker room, accused of stealing his tennis shoes.
11Alive News has not been able to contact the student who threw the punch to hear his side of what happened leading up to the incident, however, according to Gwinnett Schools PIO Sloan Roach, the student was charged with battery.
“Why do I suspect this was about the assailant wanting the shoes that the victim was wearing?”
I don’t think so.

After decades away from the area, I went back through in 2007. It had been Hispanized and showed signs of blight. Went over to Memorial Drive in adjacent DeKalb County and was sickend to see how that once thriving area was blighted.
You have to sue each and every teacher, administrator, principle individually for their individual failed to act.
Just another one of holder’s poop flingin’ savages in action. Surprised the freakin’ thug didn’t kick the poor kid when he was down, as is their usual custom.

The democrats have blood on their hands for this and all the other similar horrors. I hope Lyndon Johnson and his ilk burn in hell for it.
As an urban school teacher, I'll field that one. In most school districts it is forbidden to call 911. It can be a job-losing action. We are directed to always call the School Safety Office instead.
If you pick up a school phone and dial 911, you don't get 911. You get the do-nothing School Safety Office. Of course, with cell phones it is now much more difficult to enforce that policy. But still you can lose your job if you are found out.
And why that policy in the first place? Administrators want to keep their school violence and school suspension numbers low. That means bonuses and promotions for them. So they handle things in-house. Perhaps the attacker will get a warning. To h*ll with student safety. Careers come first.
That boor boy needs to find a good - and hungry - lawyer.

I don’t think I’d blame the victim one damn bit if he arranged a serious accident to befall the “child” that attacked him.
Well this story just cost us a load of money. Our house is in this area and people want to buy here because of that H.S. Now our sub division is just like the others in GA.
I wonder if the news will say anything...If it was a white on black beating, the news would lead off with it, and CNN would break inthe missing plane newscast to talk about it.
It seems to me that the best way to curb these types of senseless assaults is for the assailant to lose their hand as punishment for their behavior. The current system is woefully inadequate in dealing with feral thugs that seem incapable of behaving in a civilized manner. An uncivilized response as punishment may be the best way to deter the behavior in other feral thugs.

That is so reassuring to know. The school would rather cover their butts than help their students. More parents should know about this. I bet if they did, the school would lose some of those students.
I'm (theoretically) a big believer in public schools. If a diverse America is to survive, you've got to have the Irish kid, the black kid, and the Vietnamese kid all in the same classroom, all learning together.
But in reality, most urban public schools are way too broken to be fixed. So my advice to decent kids caught in those schools (and I teach at one) is this: Get out if you can. Go to a good charter school or a good private school.
