Very likely true. We will wear out our body parts, over time, from over use. Furthermore, the injurious outcomes will sometimes prevail.

Is this a result of the extreme conditioning he participated in during his younger years? When he was a teenager and playing in a local amateur tournament (I think the Dixie Amateur), one of the local stations got a video of him hitting a drive, clutching his back and collapsing to the ground. I didn't think he would have much of a career.
