At out house near Golden, before we moved, I could hear Great Horned owls in the cottonwood trees before dawn. Been a couple years since I actually saw one there, but I could hear them hooting back and forth. Also was a nice young bull elk hanging out in the Fairmont cemetery on 44th Ave last summer.

Heh! I’ve seen owls around Coors take stray cats on 32nd while I was at work there on graveyard shift. Them thar’s some BIG birds! Just grabbed them and took off.

Yep. Tons of rabbits around that live in fear of the owls and coyotes. Our lab is not around to harass them anymore, but he is onto the hares around here... {:0)
