Peaches Geldof has died today at the age of 25. The mother-of-two, daughter of Bob Geldof and Paula Yates, was found by police at her house in Wrotham, Kent, at 1.35pm. Kent Police said the death was 'sudden' and 'unexplained'. In a heartbreaking statement her father Bob said: 'Peaches has died. We are beyond pain. She was the wildest, funniest, cleverest, wittiest and the most bonkers of all of us. 'Writing 'was' destroys me afresh. What a beautiful child. How is this possible that we will not see her again? How is that bearable? 'We loved her and will cherish her forever. How sad that sentence is. 'Tom and her sons Astala and Phaedra will always belong in our family, fractured so often, but never broken. Bob, Jeanne, Fifi, Pixie and Tiger Geldof.'

“Drugs?”
I vote ‘yes’.
RIP.
NOOOO! OMG, he used to have me in stitches with his stand up. He was SO FUNNY!
“You been hea FOUR OWA! YOU GO!”
“It all you can eat, not eat all you can!”
OMG, that’s a real travesty. He was doing exceptionally well with his weight loss too. RIP.
If you told me that was another of Webb Hubbell and Hillary’s daughters, I’d likely believe it.
“Sounds like Geldof tried at one point to keep her on the straight and narrow”
You can tell by his comments that he hasn’t a clue what the straight and narrow is.
I am certain he tried his best, most parents do, though their best may be way bad. I am certain her mother felt she was doing her best.
That’s the routine I remember from Pinette, too. One of the funniest things I’ve ever seen. Husband and I still reference it occasionally when we have Chinese food!
I was sad to hear of his passing.
His skit on when he went to the water park had me laughing so hard I couldn’t breathe.
Read the 3rd line of my post again. It is sad. But why are "celebrity" deaths any sadder or more noteworthy than those of thousands of good people that die everyday?
My point is simply that our pop culture has elevated the status of celebrity deaths to a level that signifies entertainment a lot more than sympathy or empathy for the human tragedy. I don't wail and rend my garments over the death of someone I never met, and never met anyone that did know her. It is sad for her family and friends. The manner of her passing may indeed make it even more sad...or less as the case may be.
If you have a complaint about anything it ought to be about the media, the fans, the pop culture that worship fragile humans for no logical reason and eventually (in many cases) crushing them. The girl's passing is sad. That's all.
What ever happened to the dictum that a person's body is his Holy temple?
It's also repulsive to see.
She had other things going on too like naming and shaming child abusers so I will always think of her as one of the brave ones
This was massive news in the UK just recently and she may have faced charges or imprisonment we never heard much about that after the initial story - just one of the conspiracy theories you can now entertain - Just to let you know so you know... I signed in to tell you but checking out now for good okay.. Just Jo

He’s not talking about Newman, he’s talking about the fat guy that took them to court in the series finale.
Since he is a little known stand-up comedian, I don’t think he would count.
Nope, she was #3. That comedian the other day was #1.
Heartbreaking. I’ve never been a Geldof fan but I feel very badly for him. No parent should have to bury their child.
