An image transmitted from Mars to Earth by NASA's Curiosity rover has some alien enthusiasts seeing the (artificial) light about the possibility of life on Mars... The Jet Propulsion Laboratory's Justin Maki explained what NASA thinks is behind the mysterious light. "We think it's either a vent-hole light leak or a glinty rock,"

Seeing that the image is only in one camera out of the pair, it would seem to be some sort of camera issue.
If not then I would think the rover would rove over there and take a better look.
