Grilled Bacon Wrapped Soft Pretzels
culinary lobe of my brain | 4/9/14 | Rebelbase

Posted on 04/09/2014 9:44:57 AM PDT by Rebelbase

Made a batch of soft pretzel sticks, wrapped them in 3-4 slices of bacon and grilled till crispy.

Used a generic soft pretzel recipe from the web and doubled up on the yeast, won't do that next time.

These lasted all of about 30 seconds at a party last Saturday.

Ho-lee Cow. :-) I don’t know whether to thank you or call you a troublemaker. I’ll do both. (Seriously, thanks! Yum!)

Wonder how it would taste with bacon infused into the dough?

I’ll try that, will have to add some cheese, maybe hidden inside the pretzel.

YUM! Another great recipe is to take Hebrew National hot dogs, wrap each with two slices of bacon, and grill them the way you did with your pretzels. Of course, if you’re Jewish and do this, expect to entertain the other partiers by running around the yard trying to escape the lightning bolts.
