Thanks! It was my pleasure.

And now on to the NHL Draft!

The overtime action has been amazing. Good for Justin Williams….wrapped up the 06 Cup for the Canes with an emtpy - off a cross from Bret Hedican.

“NHL draft”

Absolutely! Also I've been doing my due diligence on the Pens new front office personnel. Given the very recent past it looks like Jason Karmanos is going to have a very strong influence on both the draft and current player evaluation. Both he and Rutherford as a duo seemed to have lost a power struggle in Carolina.

Penguins fans may be in for interesting times.

Yes and although I was pulling for the Kings, I wouldn’t have been sad if the Rags won. It would’ve meant one more hockey game! You’ve gotta lose to win sometimes.

I’m new to taking hockey seriously. I love the nonstop action as opposed to replay after replay in other sports. I love the indiscriminate punches and bangs they’d be crying over in the NFL. I loved the announcer as he gets wound up over the action in front of the net. I’m having a tough time following the puck but I’ll figure it out. The Kings spent most of the series swarming in front of the Rangers goal. They were fast fast fast!

They need to get bigger and faster.

Anything else is unacceptable.

Kings win. Oh well.

The good news: Only about 100 days until our fantasy draft!

I love the non stop action as well. I think that makes it addicting in a way. Once your eye and mind are trained to take in all that action, it’s quite a rush. Nothing beats seeing it live though, although HD TV is pretty good.

The Kings around the net is what good teams do, they go to the net! Of course they are built for it, they are one of the biggest teams in the NHL but don’t sacrifice speed somehow. They are a wonderful champion. There was nothing easy about how they won this cup. I’m looking forward to seeing their Stanley Cup Parade this year.

Congrats Kings for doing it the hard way - what a sensational SC Playoff!

The Zamboni scraped up our teams (Pens & Wings) from the SC ice. Changes are needed. What changes, I do not know.

Another great job, Airborne, hosting the SC Finals Thread and the Hockey Thread!

Yep. After they came back against the Sharks, I just had that feeling they were the team of destiny.

These were amazing playoffs, probably the best I’ve ever seen, no lead was safe, not in a game, not in a series. I almost don’t want to watch next year’s because it’s just going to be a let down after this year... almost.

I really hoped the Rangers would win another, just to stretch it out. I knew the Kings would win but am sad about no hockey until October. Thank you for hosting the thread and sending all the pings. You’re the best!

You knew the Kings would be back after their last Cup win, because they didn’t blow up their team, as happens after most championships. Smart owners.
