Demand is going through the roof for gymnastics-strength shower rods -- all thanks to "Love & Hip Hop" star Mimi Faust's sex tape acrobatics -- and Home Depot, Lowe's, Target, and Walmart are struggling to keep up.

We called employees at each of the major retailers (from Georgia to Cali) and we're getting the same story -- ever since the trailer for Mimi's sex tape came out, people have been racing to purchase their own super-strong shower rods to recreate the Mimi experience.

And supplies are running out -- a customer at one Home Depot in Georgia tells us, they were totally sold out of Mimi-strength shower rods.

This is a real thing -- a Twitter search for "Mimi shower rod" shows an endless list of people trying to get their hands on one. There's even a Twitter account dedicated to it (@MimiShowerRod). And don't even get us started on the Vine videos.

We reached out to officials at Home Depot, Lowe's, Walmart, and Target -- no word back so far.

Apparently her goal (I’m not making this up) is to become the black Kim Kardashian using a porn tape as a springboard.
So far it looks like it’s working.

Actually, I hope such extra strength shower rods become popular, but for the reason of safety. Slipping and falling in a shower can be very injurious, and desperately clutching and tearing down a weak shower curtain rod just adds insult to to literal injury.

There already are a multitude of waist level grab bars designed to take weight or steady oneself, but not much at head or a little better height.

What's new? I understand from headlines that Lindsey Lohan has revealed the reason she made a written list of the celebrities with whom she's had sexual intercourse, but I saw no reason to read the article.

I absolutely understand. The question is how much of the societal decay we are seeing is spontaneous, how much has been fostered by corrupt or feckless politicians, and how much is attributable to those whose long-term goal has been to weaken the US.
