Just what America needs.

More stuff made in China. I recognize these cars will be made for China, but we’re currently importing 318 billion more each year from China, than China imports from America.

How about we bring back manufacturing, to America?

At some point we need to find peace, with the unions.

America is now risking our place in the world, by sending production to China.

China now has the second-highest military budget in the entire world.

That is RAPIDLY growing. China, is now has the second-highest military budget on earth.

America needs to manufacture things.

Right here.

Now.

Actually as GM cars are becoming more and more crappy, like Chrysler cars, having them sell more and more to China probably isn’t a bad thing. Let Ford’s market share here continue to grow.

No we need to destroy the unions. It’s the only way to have peace with them. You know that and so does everyone else here.

Much of the job losses have been due to union action. How does one “make peace” with that? The days of the non-communist affidavit meaning anything are long over.

I know that last year, in one year, America ran a $318,000,000,000 trade deficit with China.

We only exported 122 billion to China. We imported 440 billion.

We are making China rapidly stronger.

Rapidly. They already have the second-largest military budget on the entire planet.

Growing every single year, by much more than our budget grows.

It is time to change plans.

America needs to build up America.

Now.

YEah on that angle I agree.

My angle is China already has crappy unsafe cars and GM can make sure they drive a lot more crappy unsafe cars.

All I’m saying is that America has gone nuts about exporting what were once the jobs which drove America to victory in two separate world wars.

We won those two world wars, because we had the strongest military in the world. Twice.

I see that vanishing.

China is rapidly becoming much stronger. Rapidly.

It is no longer in America’s interests to make China ever stronger.

I believe it is now in America’s interests, to bring back manufacturing to America.

We need to grow once again.

Now.

Government Motors moving jobs to China. Picking winners and losers, and our own government has decided that America loses.

Don’t people realize that so much of the resource that China gets from the world goes into their gov’t.& their military? We should not be doing business with them.

>>Don’t people realize that so much of the resource that China gets from the world goes into their gov’t.& their military? We should not be doing business with them.

Of course people know.

The citizens know and we have no choice. Almost everything we buy comes from China. In many cases there is no alternative.

The corporations know and they don’t care. They have decided that they are “citizens of the world” and their top execs can live in Shanghai or Beijing as comfortably as they live in NYC. The people on the assembly line are just disposable assets to them.

The government knows and is doing this on purpose. Its goal is to drive Americans into poverty so we can “compete globally” which means having a standard of living that is comparable to that of a Chinese peasant.

And in the meantime the former “arsenal of democracy” continues to deindustrialize. I pray that we will not regret losing our factories and manufacturing skills. Someday, and it may be sooner than we would like to think, we may need the facilities and skilled workers necessary to build more than a few engines of war.

I think it’s clear what you’re saying. Saying it over and over again in such a similar manner is grating, though, especially when you put it in context of not putting the unions (who bear a large portion of guilt in getting those jobs sent overseas) in their place.

Look I was just responding to your post.

However please be aware China is now a larger exporter than America is.

China.

China now has the second-largest military budget in the entire globe.

At some point, you’re going to have to decide whether America unions, or the Chinese communist union, represents a larger threat to Americans.

I believe the time has already come, to bring back American businesses to America.

You evidently are all for keeping Americans, supporting Chinese communist factories.

Different decisions.

I won’t say who is right.

I’m just stating I am now supporting America.

Just saying.
