Moyes is OUT! Glazers finally lose patience with Fergie's failed replacement and now United boss..

David Moyes will be sacked by Manchester United in the coming weeks and could even go before the end of the day. United’s owners the Glazer family have finally lost patience with Moyes after a dismal season that has seen the reigning Barclays Premier League champions slump to seventh in the table. The final straw was Sunday's 2-0 defeat at Everton, their 11th in the Barclays Premier League this season, and a result that left the title holders down 13 points off the Champions League places.

Goal.com is saying Giggs will be the interim manager.

I would like to see Roberto Martinez stay at Everton.

I am not sure who I would like to see as the new manager of Manchester United, unless Sir Alex wants to come back and manage.

United is a mess, their day of reckoning was due to come, and it has. They got into so much debt, they couldn’t compete for the big signings. They got Van Persie, but he got hurt. Rooney is a shell of his former self.
Nani never quite lived up to his potential.

The one guy they’ve got that could become a superstar is Januzaj. But for some reason Moyes hasn’t played him a heck of a lot.

Man U has a total of 10 people from the UK on their roster.

Ryan Giggs, Wayne Rooney, Rio Ferdinand, Tom Cleverley, DAnny Welbeck, Chris Smalling, Phil Jones, Johnny Evans, Michael Carrick, Darren Fletcher & Ashley Young. The other countries represented at Man U are the Netherlands (van Persie), France (Evra), Mexico (Hernandez), Belgium (Januzaj, Fellaini), Spain (Mata, de Gea), Uruguay (Valencia), Cape Verde (Nani), Japan (Kagawa), Germany (Buttner), Serbia (Vidic), Brazil (Rafael)

The same thing applies with potential to Ashley Young.

They need to but 2 Central defenders for next year, assuming Rio retires and Vidic goes somewhere else next season.

If I am Man U I do not want to have to have Phil Jones and Chris Smalling as main my two center backs.

Manchester City could go after Messi because the team is owned by big money (and I do mean BIG money) interests from Abu Dhabi, and as such they could afford to pay for Messi once his contract ends with FC Barcelona.

Yes, the lineup that included Scholes, Giggs, Beckham, Neville, Ferdinand etc. has been one heckuva class of British players Utd. had.

You can see where Man U misses Scholes in the central midfield. Scholes IMO was the guy that ran the team through the midfield. Same thing applies for Yaya Toure for Man City, Steven Gerrard for Liverpool and Frank Lampard for Chelsea.

In terms of Neville, I will bit a little sarcastic here, which one? They had two brothers, one now in the broadcast booth and the other is currently the assistant to David Moyes and played at Everton before retiring.

Whichever one, it is not important, some of the info here is foggy, that’s not important.

Southampton certainly has put very English/British sides out this year even with an Argentinan manager. At Soccerway.com which I use daily and comes out of the Netherlands, one can check out squads, everything on, one of my favorite sites.

Have a good day, nice to meet you.

He is sacked.

“Moyes sacked

Here is how Manchester United broke the news on Twitter:

Man Utd: Manchester United announces that David Moyes has left the club. The club would like to place on record its thanks for the hard work, honesty and integrity he brought to the role.”

Moyes will easily find employment elsewhere, Newcastle? Somewhere. Wasn’t a good fit to begin with.

I think if Moyes is going to get a job somewhere next year he is going to have to go down to the Championship. No one in the Premier League is going to want to have Moyes after the way that he screwed up Man U.

Guess we could call this “The Damned United - The Sequel”.

Some parallels between this and Clough at Leeds....It’s hard to come into a team that has had success then tell them you are changing everything they are doing. Perhaps Sir Alex believed, since Moyes was a fellow Scot, that he would stay the course.

And obviously United wouldn’t make this move without knowing who the replacement will be, I think it has to be Jurgen Klopp.

They probably won’t do it but Ryan Giggs. Even if he plays another year, Player-Coach.

Looks like you called it first.

And Roberto Martinez got Wigan relegated, they aren't going for him.

It was amazing Wigan stayed up as long as they did. And I might remind you he did win an FA Cup with them.

But by all means, keep saying that Martinez isn’t any good. ;)

Yeah, Moyes probably will wind up with one of the clubs that drops, probably either Sunderland, or Fulham.

You won't find me saying Martinez wasn't any good; all I said was Martinez got Wigan relegated or in other words was at the helm of Wigan when they went down. That is fact.

Martinez has been on the side of some real 'hidings' as well, on the side of some of the most lopsided losses in recent Premier League matches to the point to where the Club apologized to fans. That's just the truth. Nothing wrong with mentioning this as well.

Chelsea 8 0 Wigan

Tottenham 9 0 Wigan

Wigan had the lowest attendance of any club...so obviously they didn’t have the resources to compete at the top level, but still they had a decent run.

They probably really belong in the Championship with their spending levels. Actually as of now, they are in the playoffs to return to the Premier League.
