Alongside iOS 7.1.1, Apple today released Security Update 2014002 for Mavericks, Mountain Lion, and Lion users, Juli Clover reports for MacRumors. The update includes fixes for several operating system vulnerabilities, detailed on Apples support page.
Clover reports, Apple recommends that all users download the update, which can be acquired via the Software Update tool in the Mac App Store [or as standalone installers].
If you want on or off the Mac Ping List, Freepmail me.
Unexpected start to the day.

Looks to be about 20MB?
Why does Apple need to name the hard work of thousands of Indians and Pakistanis after deadly animals? Couldn’t they name one release in honor of their country ,, maybe “Mongoose” or at least something non-threatening like “fuzzy bunny” or something their metrosexual users are familiar with like “pigeon” or “rat”.
Better yet , just give them numbers.
I’ve always read Apple was so advanced it never needed security patches?
So now it’s just like Microsoft, eh?
Just ask any mac-o-phile. Kind of like that one coder I knew that swore up and down that if only the Mac and PC enthusiasts would listen to him, his graphics chip would just run rings around any regular processor.
Never try to tell a mac-o-phile that their graphics boxen is less than perfect, or you will be subject to the same spittle-flying denials all us true number-crunching and real-world users have to deal with all the time.
Apple(tm) Uber Alles! (or so they demand you agree to)!
Now, I must go find an apple boxen so I can print out the latest pretty poster and proclaim it to the world... Apples printed this thing! *snicker*
Like moths drawn to the light, I notice that once again the Apple haters are irresistibly drawn to an Apple thread.
Waiting for the trolls in uh 1, 2, 3....
It’s stupid ....
Demonstrates him informed they though.
Disclaimer:
I am not an Apple user of any device or machine.
Still a great product though.
"Deadly animals?" That's a new one in the FUD department, for sure. The Mongoose is one of the fiercest of predators, and even kills the poisonous Cobra, but then YOU just thought the name is cute, in your effort to denigrate Apple and its users with your "metrosexual" insults and innuendo, didn't you?
Then you proceed on your dis-information campaign with an ignorant reference to "Indians and Pakistanis." There are NONE of any of those associated with any Apple products to my knowledge, not even in product support centers, like you get with Windows PC computer products.
Try to do better next time. Be more creative in your trolling. This one only gets a C-.
I eagerly await the release of Charging Cobra Headed Liger for my iDevice7.
No , it’s just fun to tease the true believers that don’t really understand tech and somehow believe the spin. I buy things to accomplish goals and do things ,, not impress my friends.

I’ll feed a troll this one time. I am a VERY happy user of Apple products and use them to accomplish much work. I certainly don’t use them to impress my friends.
I don’t know if the Free Republic site allows one to change a user name but, if so, I’d suggest you change your user name to ‘The_FUDster’ to accurately portray your essence.
Neidermeyer fits. In the movie "Animal House", Doug Neidermeyer is the bully jerk troublemaker trying to take down the Deltas house. Everything he tries backfires on him. One of the last credits of the movie says he gets killed by his own troops fragging him in Vietnam. This guy took that handle because he knows his own essence.
I resemble that remark..
