I bet it does not.

Meanwhile, Chinese factory managers in Africa hire helicopters on their days off and slaughter elephants from the air and send the tusks back home.

Isn’t there also a ban on Ebony? You know, that almost sounds like it should be a song.

I'd like to see a lib explain how ivory from an elephant tusk killed over 90 years ago will save an elephant today.

Thanks to liberal insanity our world is turning upside-down.

This will drive up the demand for black market ivory.

What if I take my piano and burn it on my front lawn. Will the elephant ghosts be appeased by the increase in global warming, thus making more of the world's climate suitable for elephants (of the non-wooly variety).

Mammoth ivory is still legal. I’ve got a beautiful Gold class Benchmade folder, Damascus with white mammoth ivory scales. It’s gorgeous. :-)

There is an easy way that ~could~ end Ivory poaching and reverse the destruction of Elephant herds in Africa (and it would even turn poachers into animal protection agents): It’s called capitalism.

Allow the poachers to “OWN” whole herds and then teach them that if they allow the elephants to produce babies then in the future when these elephants are near old age/death they then could collect the tusk, this may take a few years with a change in culture the current poachers would become fierce protectors of “their” WILD herds (and the lands that these elephants graze on).

Just my 2, but the socialists would never listen to this. -JS

Destroying old valuable artifacts is abhorrent.
Just like China's cultural revolution when old art was destroyed to make room for the new, Islams destruction of old Buddhist statues, different justification, same result.
Environmentalism is destroying more than is saves.
