Running IE in enhanced protection mode, which is only available for IE versions 10 and 11, will protect users from attacks.

Running IE in enhanced protection mode, which is only available for IE versions 10 and 11, will protect users from attacks.

Unfortunately, that eliminates the ability to visit many popular useful sites, or to update many useful software, like Adobe Flash Player...

If you're already running Win 8x, if you get a virus, would it really make things much worse? Who knows, a virus might even be an enhancement.

LOL! I don’t even use IE but viruses, no thanks. I keep my computer up to date with AV and malware bytes.

I just had a thought. MSFT is probably like doctors in that they push all of these vaccines on children and teens and nobody knows if the vaccines will do harm to the patient. Same can be said about all of these vulnerabilities on the computer and the supposed fix.
