I have no dog in this fight (Ole Miss undergrad, Tulane law school)...but I have read some things in the last month that corroborate what Flajoe is talking about...
First, the prosecutor stated that Paterno had nothing to do with a coverup (reported in several PA papers, but not nationally)...
Second, the NCAA backing off the penalties against PSU. why would they do that? The cartel that is the NCAA has never reduced penalties in that manner before. Evidence of a rush to judgment in my view.
I don’t think it was neceasrily a conspiracy against Penn State...rather lazy journalism on the part of ESPN and total incompetence by the Penn State president and board...

It’s losers like this who created the environment where a pedophile was able to run wild. Putting a child’s game ahead of children. I hope JoePa and his enablers rot in hell until they learn the error of their ways. Don’t let people forget the facts: Sandusky is guilty. Paterno knew (by his own admission) and his response fell so far short of what is required of a decent human being that all but the most blind can see it.
