What Are The “Ten” Most-Common FALSE CAGW “Scientific” Claims and Exaggerations That Are Most Often Thrown in the Faces of Skeptics and Realists?

Now, I know how “I” would answer each challenge – and I “have” answered these same challenges and accusations many different times in probably as many different ways But, I’m not the only one they are accusing, the only one the CAGW religion is attacking because of our skepticism. SO, what “accusations” and “questions” am I missing? How have you ( the readers) responded – or have not been able to respond to each challenge?

Further, I use the term “challenges” deliberately – the CAGW religion requires that you be a “zealot” and be “ready to act” despite real evidence and despite any immediate threat – it is a real part of their fundamental religion that skeptics be not only demonized but thrown assaulted, in jail, and blown in half in a pristine classroom of innocent youth.

1. Why are you denying Climate Change?

2. Don’t you understand that 97% of “real scientists” agree that CO2 is a dangerous/is harming the environment/is affecting the climate/is humanity’s most serious threat to life around the world?

3. But CO2′s harmful effect on the climate is basic physics/has been an established fact since the 1890′s/has been known since Arrhenius first theories 120 years ago?

4. But why are you a part of the well-funded climate-deniers’ process/part of the climate denier’s conspiracy/widespread network of climate deniers? (Alternate: Aren’t you just a well-paid spokesman for a widespread climate denier’s/big oil conspiracy to deny climate change?)

5. But we MUST act NOW to prevent (potential) future harm! Also: But we MUST act NOW as a precaution against climate change/as insurance against climate change!

6. But we MUST act NOW (against CO2) BECAUSE fossil fuels are running out/peak oil-peak natural gas-peak horse manure …

7. Only pure sustainable/renewable energy/green energy/energy rebates (to selected voters only)/ green energy programs/widespread mandatory reductions/international energy cooperation can save us from imminent disaster/imminent climate change!

8. Immediate higher energy prices/higher energy taxes (er, carbon trading schemes)/e MUST be implements to reduce CO2/to prevent climate change.

9. EVERY change in the weather in ANY direction of ANY type can be blamed on climate change due to (recent) CO2 increases, and EVERY recent weather problem and disaster will ONLY be prevented if we immediately control CO2 to below industrial levels.

10. But how can deny the evidence of catastrophic climate change: The arctic is melting, temperatures have never been higher, temperatures have never been this cold before, temperatures have never risen this fast before, temperatures have never changed this fast before, the lakes will dry out, the humidity will rise, the deserts will increase, sea level rise will threaten our coasts, climate refugees will number in the millions, droughts will increase, flooding will increase, tornadoes are increasing, hurricanes are increasing, .....

KEYWORDS: cagw; climatechange; globalwarming; glowbullwarming; hoax; skepticalscience
10. And, of course, the ever-present-but-not-related-to-climate-change ….

Why do support flat-earth/religious fundamental deniers against true scientists? Do you believe in evolution? But real scientists claim… (and it’s neighbor) “All true scientists believe ..” And would you support the Inquisition against true scientists like Galileo? When was the earth created? Why do you oppose teaching evolution in school? Do you believe in the Big Bang? No real scientist can deny … If you believe in God/the Bible/religion you cannot be allowed to …

Now, I know how I've answered these in the past.

But which ones have I missed? How would you answer each? How have you answered these in-your-face denials by our so-called "elite" scribes and Pharisees of today's colleges and paid government universities?

Interestingly, there’s never a set amount of effort that will suffice in these plans. It’s always a recommendation to do more, and to let governments, preferably thru international coordination, restrict industry, restrict fuel and land use, and collect additional taxes.

My favorite is Algore’s claim about a decade ago that the island of Vanuato is sinking.

But not to long ago I saw House Hunters International show where a an Australian couple were house shopping there. The island looked just fine — and they didn’t seem to have any qualms about buying property on the island.

The Earth is not flat.

It is concave with it's concavity facing the sun.

That's why it's getting so hot!

We need to get the people at the ends of the Earth to start pushing down the edges.

Yes but in all fairness, Gore was standing on the island at the time he made the statement so.....................

2. Don’t you understand that 97% of “real scientists” agree that CO2 is a dangerous/is harming the environment/is affecting the climate/is humanity’s most serious threat to life around the world?

Global Warming Petition Project
31,487 American scientists have signed this petition, including 9,029 PHDs.

3. But CO2′s harmful effect on the climate is basic physics/has been an established fact since the 1890′s/has been known since Arrhenius first theories 120 years ago?

Where is the hot spot in the upper atmosphere?

No smoking hot spot

1. The greenhouse signature is missing. We have been looking and measuring for years, and cannot find it.

Each possible cause of global warming has a different pattern of where in the planet the warming occurs first and the most. The signature of an increased greenhouse effect is a hot spot about 10km up in the atmosphere over the tropics. We have been measuring the atmosphere for decades using radiosondes: weather balloons with thermometers that radio back the temperature as the balloon ascends through the atmosphere. They show no hot spot. Whatsoever.

If there is no hot spot then an increased greenhouse effect is not the cause of global warming. So we know for sure that carbon emissions are not a significant cause of the global warming. If we had found the greenhouse signature then I would be an alarmist again.

1. Why are you denying Climate Change?

There is something odd about the global warming debate – or the climate change debate, as we are now expected to call it, since global warming has for the time being come to a halt..

2. Don’t you understand that 97% of “real scientists” agree that CO2 is a dangerous/is harming the environment/is affecting the climate/is humanity’s most serious threat to life around the world?

While using movie stars to bludgeon us with the idea that all bad things must be due to CO2 climate change, "Years of Living Dangerously" committed huge sins of omission...

6. But we MUST act NOW (against CO2) BECAUSE fossil fuels are running out/peak oil-peak natural gas-peak horse manure …

Ecologists worry that the world's resources come in fixed amounts that will run out, but we have broken through such limits again and again. The world's resources aren't running out...

1. The reason a (real) greenhouse warms up is because vertical convection (which causes the land outside the greenhouse to cool off) is blocked by the glass roof. Similarly, the biggest cause of warming of the Earth is the tropopause, which also blocks vertical convection.
2. While CO2 does have the potential to provide some blocking of IR, its role is diminished by the presence of other mechanisms which allow heat to circumvent the CO2 effect in most of the troposphere: (a) vertical convection, (b) latent heat of water (water vapor changes to liquid water droplets and then changes to ice particles, each time circumventing the CO2 affect by transferring heat to higher altitudes.(c) most of the heat input to earth is in the tropics and thunderstorms in the tropics are very common: warm moist air rises to the upper levels of the troposphere, cools to ice pellets which fall to the lower levels as cold rain, thus again circumventing any CO2 effect.
3. There is considerable emphasis on IR absorption by CO2, even though it is largely circumvented in the lower and middle troposphere, but CO2 also plays an emissive, cooling role, which is very important at the upper troposphere, where other means of transferring energy across the stratosphere are no longer available (water is largely frozen out by the extreme cold, and convection is blocked by the stratosphere.

Actually, “climate change” is an inexorable juggernaut; Earth has been in the past much hotter and much colder, and will be again much hotter and much colder. The colder periods, know as “ice ages,” are end of life events.
Stick that in your pipe and smoke it.

I had a heck of a time explaining to my kids that it was a lot warmer when the dinosaurs were running around, and it was warmer when the Vikings were sailing to Greenland and Iceland.

I have heard that.

Sky-high hole blown in AGW theory?

"Forbes reports on a peer-reviewed study that uses NASA data to show that the effects of carbon-based warming have been significantly exaggerated. In fact, much of the heat goes out into space rather than stay trapped in the atmosphere, an outcome that started long before AGW alarmists predicted:"
