“Let’s look at his description of my proof. He claims about me:
You did a cursory Google search and some moron conflates “Made in USA” with “Assembled in USA””

Well now you know that’s a lie. The moron was a TIME reporter who breathlessly headlined “Apple “Made in the USA” Mac Pro Launched”. Roadcat posted a link to the false article, twice I believe. Apple disproves HIS post in their Youtube video that proudly etches the words “Assembled in USA” on the bottom of the Mac Pro.

Your post was mostly accurate. (Still haven’t figured out how to resize pics yet, I see.)

You toss out so many pejoratives that you’re assuming everyone is doing the same back at you. Sometimes butthurt really IS just diaper rash.

Oh and you and roadcat are cowards for not posting directly to me. Yes, that one IS directed at you.

“Two posts were deleted from this thread and Leonard immediately assumes it was because I acted inappropriately and insulted someone. Actually, the posts were deleted because the other poster insulted me, and I quoted his insults to me. . . I did not hit the abuse, but obviously someone, perhaps the other poster because he apologized to another Freeper about his use of inappropriate language. . . but, Leonard, true to type, assumed the worst about me and that the replies were deleted because of my behavior. LOL!”

Actually, I didn’t notice any deleted posts. You are a poor mind reader.

“Recognize the Tweeter? Most people familiar with Apple issues would. The man who Leonard refers to as just “some moron,” who Leonard did not even quote correctly—a typical tactic of Leonard’s so he can argue what he WANTS to argue—is the CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER of Apple, who I think should know exactly what his company is doing the day before they start doing it! That is about as close as one can get to a primary source!”

Yes, he knew exactly that he could not say “Made in USA” because the Federal Trade Commission would not let him.

I never said Saint Tim was a moron. Another lie. You’re just all lies all the time today. I said “he’s the Paul Lynde of the computer industry and a flaming climate change fascist, but somehow he’s been able to perform more miracles than Saint Steven of Cupertino.” I actually like a lot of what he’s been doing and don’t believe Steve Jobs was the “tech genius” he was claimed to be.

You really don’t have to lie about what I said. Oh wait, maybe you do.

Sorry. I misconstrued Leonard's post to you about the "moron" as being to me. My apologies to all concerned. Still the point holds. The source is still authoritative. Leonard is not.

I cannot understand what Leonard's problem with sizing photos is. The photos appear quite appropriately sized on my Mac and on my iPad and iPhone. The Tweet from Tim Cook is about 5" wide on my 13" MacBook Air. What is HIS problem? What do you see? Of course, Safari is 100% ACID3 compliant. Of course I know how to size in HTML... I can hand code it if necessary. But I shall not bother to please him. I am still ignoring him.

Regarding Leonard210:
"Oh and you and roadcat are cowards for not posting directly to me."

Boo-hoo, the petulant child is tossing his barf around seeking attention.

"Sometimes butthurt really IS just diaper rash."
He draws attention to himself in the most childish ways. I will speak to adults, not little boys with fantasies of butthurt (hmmn, he dwells much on that subject!).

The tweet from Tim Cook takes about 50 percent of the width of my screen, not large at all. Maybe he’s viewing it on an Etch-A-Sketch non-Apple PC?

LOL!

What some people think is "cowardice" is merely "disdain," would you not agree?

Leonard has earned my disdain through his actions and behavior on this and other threads.

I'm in agreement. "Cowardice" as applied to this thread is the lack of courage to face opposition. That is not the case here. "Disdain" is a feeling of contempt for anything regarded as unworthy. Unworthy, that applies.

I wear it as a badge of honor, my friend.

I realize that. . . my point was that it DOES take the pro-active defense of your patent to protect it. If the owner does not sue the infringer, the patent is worthless. Unfortunately, a patent infringement suit is very expensive. The patent office will not protect it. Not pursuing it can effect how a court will enforce it as well. Unequal enforcement can effect how the court will value it.

Absolutely. I guess I was quibbling over terminology. You're correct that the patent office doesn't proactively seek infringers, so not doing so yourself can effectively make the patent worthless until you do so.

Even the most thorough patent searches can miss obscure claims in non-related patents. That's where a lot of these patent trolls live. Broadly written Claims in unrelated patents that can be construed to be applied to something unrelated.

IMO, the patent system is largely broken. Apparently the powers that be like it that way. It keeps the small independent folk in check, and gives additional leverage to industry giants. Software patents should, by and large, not exist at all.

How do you figure "flamed out"? Apple won $120 million and the Jury ruled "willful infringement," so the judge can treble the damages to $360 million. . . although this judge probably won't. What Apple wanted was the verdict.
