JEREMY Clarkson, presenter of BBC motoring program Top Gear, on Thursday “begged forgiveness” for appearing to use a racist insult in a non-aired clip recorded for the globally successful show.

Clarkson, no stranger to controversy, explained that he had recited an old nursery rhyme that includes a racist term, but tried to mumble out the offending word.

"...I wish they’d at least make an announcement when harmless prose becomes toxic..."

Eh. They would just continually change the status of things, so one would never know.

Kind of what liberals do with laws and regulations. If you make so many of them that people can't keep them straight, sooner or later someone will break one of them, and then the liberals can use that "transgression" to bend that person over a barrel...if it suits their purpose.

Recently, two African Americans were offended when “Eeny, meeny, miny, moe, pick a seat, it’s time to go” was recited by a Southwest Airlines attendant, and (unsuccessfully) took it to court.

I think that could have been a great AD CAMPAIGN!!!

Sorry, only blacks can use that offensive, derogatory, racial epithet.

You are confusing Clarkson with someone else. He loves the USA for the freedoms he wishes they had there and he’s also a serious gun lover.

“And as I’m sitting here begging your forgiveness for that fact that obviously my efforts weren’t quite good enough.”

Apologies can never be good enough. It's blood in the water, and an admission of guilt -- the do-gooders will never forget, never forgive. They will hound and torture the miscreant forever. Because they are good people and the miscreant deserves endless suffering.

Eh. They would just continually change the status of things, so one would never know.

Good point, rimorel.

This is what Ayn Rand had to say. She was referring to government's constantly changing laws but it applies also to political correctness. PC laws are how the Marxofascists destroy the lives and careers of the defenders of freedom. The Marxofascists **want** those PC laws broken because their goal is not a just society, It is **power** they are after.

Ayn Rand:

Did you really think we want those laws observed? said Dr. Ferris. We want them to be broken. You'd better get it straight that it's not a bunch of boy scouts you're up against... We're after power and we mean it... There's no way to rule innocent men. The only power any government has is the power to crack down on criminals. Well, when there aren't enough criminals one makes them. One declares so many things to be a crime that it becomes impossible for men to live without breaking laws. Who wants a nation of law-abiding citizens? What's there in that for anyone? But just pass the kind of laws that can neither be observed nor enforced or objectively interpreted – and you create a nation of law-breakers – and then you cash in on guilt. Now that's the system, Mr. Reardon, that's the game, and once you understand it, you'll be much easier to deal with. ('Atlas Shrugged' 1957) {WMail Issue #23}

A couple weeks back it was Indians (Dot not feather, he he) that were offended by him using the word “slope” which apparently offends them. The comment was made a bout a bridge that had a downhill slope.

I keep pimping the book “The Language of the 3rd Reich” by Victor Klemperer.

Its about how the nazis manipulated the german language as a means of manipulating the people.

The Marxofascists **want** these PC laws broken, This is how they break the man financially, and socially.

See my post #32 for Ayn Rand’s quote on laws.

This is the same a-hole who claimed that blacks were being mowed down by machine guns from helicopters during Katrina. He HATES the United States.

No he doesn’t. Have you ever watched Top Gear? Clarkson is an equal opportunity offender; it is part of his stick.

They’ve been going after him for years, I suspect based on things he’s said over the years, because he leans Tory.

The Top Gear India Christmas special got India all in an uproar and they demanded an apology from the BBC and the UK government for showing India pretty much as it is.

Nope, it was him. In the wake of Katrina he accused the US military of murdering civilians looking for food.

Flood That Released America's Demons

"Most Americans barely have the brains to walk on their back legs."

"On the streets you've got some poor, starving soul helping themselves to a packet of food from a ruined, deserted supermarket. And as a result, finding themselves being blown to pieces by a helicopter gunship. With the none-too-bright soldiers urged on by their illiterate political masters, the poor and needy never stood a chance. It's easier and much more fun to shoot someone than make them a cup of tea."

I can't seem to find his original article in the Sun, where he accused Americans of being so stupid and crass that our military was murdering blacks in the wake of Katrina.

The article was called the "Flood That Released America's Demons", and it looks like the Sun might have expunged it, but there's plenty of quotes available.

I hope his career is over.
