The purpose of affirmative action is to promote people with IQs of 85 to positions of responsibility for which they are completely unqualified.

Curious that these same folks are not clamoring for diversity on the basketball court. It’s definitely a business if they have a union.
Back in my day, in the early ‘60s in junior high, there was one Negro teacher in my school. It was okay to call that group of people Negroes in those days. Anyway, he was my favorite teacher, and he was a very smart man, and I learned a lot from him.
He may well have suffered discrimination in his growing up years, but, my point is, he was not an affirmative action hire. Affirmative action didn’t exist back then. He was the only black teacher in a school of 98% white students.
Seems to me we should get back to hiring people based on their skills and experience, not hiring a quota filling number of this group or that group, regardless of qualifications.
When they did this for police departments it ended up with numerous incidents of corruption and increases in crime.
