Nearly Every Mass Shooting In The Last 20 Years Shares One Thing In Common, And It Isn’t Weapons

Manasquan, NJ --(Ammoland.com)- Nearly every mass shooting incident in the last twenty years, and multiple other instances of suicide and isolated shootings all share one thing in common, and its not the weapons used.

The overwhelming evidence suggests the single largest common factor in all of these incidents is that all of the perpetrators were either actively taking powerful psychotropic drugs or had been at some point in the immediate past before they committed their crimes.

At no other time in our history have so many boisterous (often bored) young men and boys been drugged into somnolence instead of being allowed to work normally through the issues of growing up and becoming men. This frequently occurs for the convenience of a parent, at the insistence of a school (also for their convenience), or for extra welfare money, but the end result is that the child does not develop correctly in a social sense.

They fantasize about normal dominance issues (definitely normal for any male of a species), and, denied a playground knuckleduster to sort things out, act out those fantasies in video games, even as the medication they are on blurs reality and fantasy.

These aren't old men, but are boys and young men, the willfully damaged product of a hostile culture.

If they have been on psychoactive drugs, service in the military, the premier environment for developing self respect and working out dominance issues, is denied to them.

That some seek to or succeed in going maliciously and murderously nuts is no surprise. They have become (legally) adults, medicated through the part of their life when they should have developed coping skills for their later years and sorted out their comfortable place in their social pecking order.

Growing up is tough enough, but I just don't see it getting any easier if you are drugged, and if you read up on the effects of trying to quit those drugs, there is plenty of opportunity for someone who just tries to quit cold turkey to become homicidal.

Political beliefs do not develop in a vacuum, but are often the product of the behaviours and expressed beliefs of people around a growing child. Until encouraged to think, most kids will parrot the views of a teacher, parent, or other person they see as a role model.

Which brings into question, are the home lives of Liberals' children more damaging than the home lives of Conservatives' children?

Are the children more likely to be medicated?

Are they more likely to develop behavioural issues?

Or is it the way that normal child development is approached from the different parental worldviews?

“psychotropic drugs “, and under the car of gub mint shrinks.
I think many of these incidents were from crazies who’ve been brainwashed through hypnotism to carry out these deeds for the purpose of gun control by our federal gub mint.

it might be interesting to see the incidence rate of mental problems indexed to political beliefs.

The higher the population density, the more laws, rules, regulations, taxes, weapon bans, and big gov is needed to make it work. High population density is strongly correlated with leftism the world over. There is an increasing number of negatives the tighter humans are unnaturally encased in steel and concrete. From Health, Happiness, and Density:

A monumental Swedish study of over four million Swedes examined whether a high level of urbanisation (which correlates with density) is associated with an increased risk of developing psychosis and depression. Adjustments were made to cater for individual demographic and socio-economic characteristics. It was found that the rates for psychosis (such as the major brain disorder schizophrenia) were 70% greater for the denser areas. There was also a 16% greater risk of developing depression. The paper discusses various reasons for this finding but the conclusion states: "A high level of urbanisation is associated with increased risk of psychosis and depression".

They just arrested some kid in Waseca, Minn (about 100 miles from where I live) who was planning to alaughter people at his high school. It will be interesting to see if he was on ritalin or some other psychotropic drug.

The only problem with that theory is that the mass shootings in high schools has only been a problem in the last thirty years or so....or about the time they started drugging many boys with ritalin and other similar drugs. When I was in high school fifty years ago, you never heard about these things. And many classmates used to bring their hunting rifles to school. Never worried about those sorts of things, mass school shootings, back then.

I don’t think the meds are the issue. I think the issue is that these people are crazy enough to NEED the meds and aren’t kept locked up, crazy as they are. Before the mid 1960’s, people like this just spent their lives in state hospitals, on meds or off, and away from guns and victims. Once they were let out into the “community,” the shootings began.

I think you are on to something.

There was a time when someone who “heard voices”, had psychotic delusions, demonstrated extreme anti-social and dangerous behaviors not acceptable in any sort of sane society, had thoughts of suicide or of harming others, were committed to psychiatric facilities not only for our protection but for their own. Now they are just given an Rx and referred to outpatient “counseling” which they may or may not ever follow through with and it is very difficult to commit the very seriously mentally ill for hospitalization and treatment, even when their families want it.

In years gone by people like Jared Laughter, James Holmes and Adam Lanza would have been committed long before they could have done serious harm to anyone. And they all exhibited signs of being not only mentally ill, but seriously mentally ill to a point of being a danger to others.

I am not advocating locking up people nilly willy against their will and absent any due process of law or returning to the days when many psychiatric hospitals, especially the state run ones were “hell holes”, “snake pits” and places not fit for humans or even animals, but I do think we need to seriously re-evaulate how we deal with the seriously mentally ill. Thinking that just giving them these meds, without very close supervision or hospitalization is bone headed.

Medications in and of themselves are IMO, not the problem, and in fact they are often a “god send” to the people who need them and benefit from then along with their families. I have a family member who is bi-polar and she is “bat guano crazy” when not taking her meds. But when she does take them and takes them consistently and follows through with her psychiatric appointments, you would never know she had any sort of problem.

But she has been committed for some short term stays in psychiatric hospitals over the years when she was out of control and she was after getting out and getting back to “normal” very grateful for it as were we.

Please see post number 34. Thank-you!

Are you really suggesting that people who are mentally ill are instead demonically possessed?

Are you really suggesting that the mentally ill are better treated with medieval superstition rather than with modern medicine?

Mental illness such as Schizophrenia and Bi-Polar disorders, have been proven to be and are diseases of the brain chemistry and as such can be treated and or alliterated with proper medication along with family support.

There was also a time when people with seizure disorders like epilepsy were considered to be demonically possessed; they were often subject to forms of extreme torture in attempts to drive these so called demons out of them. Many of them died as a result.

So you are saying that the toddler who suffers from leukemia, needs an exorcism rather than medical treatment?
