Word For The Day, Day, Date
In order that we might all raise the level of discourse and expand our language abilities, here is the daily post of "Word for the Day".
1. a group of people who associate closely. 2. an exclusive group; clique. 3. a group of prairie dogs occupying a communal burrow.
Etymology: 173040; < French, Middle French: an association of tenant farmers < Medieval Latin coter ( ius ) cotter2 + -ie -y3
Rules: Everyone must leave a post using the Word for the Day in a sentence.
The sentence must, in some way, relate to the news of the day.
The Review threads are linked for your edification. ;-)

I hope that is close enough. Oh, coterie. Nevermind.
the third definition of coterie: a group of prairie dogs occupying a communal burrow, reminds me of the fawning adulation of the Whitehut press corpse (intentional misspelling because journalism is dead.)
