New Legislation to Restrict Guests in Private Homes
Mad World News ^ | 5/6/2014 | COREY BARROW

Law makers in Fairfax County, Va., want to limit how many guests you can have in your private home and how frequent they can visit. This sounds like a lawsuit waiting to happen.

The proposed amendment, which was first presented to the Board of Supervisors on Feb. 18, would prohibit any gatherings “exceeding forty-nine people in one day [from occurring] more frequently than three times in any forty day period.” They also want to add more specific language to define “a permissible ‘group assembly’”

The county’s official website claims that there is a good reason behind the proposed amendment. The statement reads:

“Over the last several years, there have been complaints from residents regarding frequent and large gatherings at neighborhood homes. These gatherings can create parking, noise, and other concerns for the neighborhood. Although occasional, large gatherings…are expected and permissible activities at a home, gatherings that occur on a regular basis involving numerous people can detract from the residential nature of a neighborhood.”

"private home" - is that the home that we pay The King's Rent (property taxes) on?

I can see the King restricting how many guests you can have in your private The King's home and how frequent they can visit.

I mean, it's not like it's actually yours...

No pie left unfingered.

Betcha anything this gets justified as a fire or safety issue. I could even see inspectors assessing residential property to establish occupancy limits and require permitting for gatherings.

If I was a blossoming tyrant, that's the approach I'd take.

The elitist bloodsuckers that run society see us as piggy banks to be shook, little else. Then they believe anything that annoys them should be outlawed.

So then they can’t really complain if we switch to politicians then, right? I mean, it *was* their idea that goats were a no go, so.....

I've slaughtered a goat in my front yard. And chickens, and one pig...

No one said a word about it, while I had a knife in my hand, and blood up to both elbows.

Either you own your property, or you don't.

Yeah, suppose I’m an “undocumented immigrant” safe house and I want to house three or four dozen extended family members, shirt-tail relatives and dollar-a-day boarders ... how fair is that?
And we like a little cockfighting every now and then, like every other day along with goat BBQs.

We haven’t changed as much since 1776 as we’ve always thought. The patriots didn’t like that the King said anyone who worked for him could stay anywhere they wanted. Now the King is going to put a limit on it.
