In the waning days of Digital, our HR person (black, female) called all of the managers in our group together for a diversity session. She went around the table and asked each of us to say the first thing that came to our minds when she said a word. When she got to one guy she said “Puerto Rican” and he said “smelly.” That ended the session and she never held another one.
