Michael Sam and boyfriend Vito Cammisano partied Saturday night away in Las Vegas after the 24-year-old became the first openly-gay football player selected in the NFL draft. Sam's selection in the seventh round by the St Louis Rams became a landmark moment for the LGBT community when he and Cammisano celebrated with a kiss on live TV. That moment was recorded at Sam's agent's house in San Diego, and soon after Sam and 23-year-old Cammisano left to properly celebrate at Las Vegas club Tao.

I hear reason why he wasn’t pick in higher part of the draft he is okay he is not great he is okay football player that all
I not taking any advice from Matt Lauer he seem like metrosexual type like Bob Costra don’t want get hands dirty
Glad to see they are talking about his actual football talent.
Oh wait a minute.............
The vid of these fags kissing was one of the most disgusting things I have ever seen.
southpark did it first.
the kiss that killed the NFL
the kiss that killed espn
it was the financial suicide kiss.
And yet, Tim Tebow is still blackballed from the NFL for his Christian beliefs. The other side of the coin.
I want to be treated like everyone else. Hey, everyone, I’m different. Am I brave yet?
Vito Cammisano (Sam’s boyfriend), who graduated with a degree in communications in 2013, is a promotions intern at Cumulus Broadcasting
Member of the University of Missouri’ Men’s Swim Team
University of Missouri
August 2009 December 2011 (2 years 5 months) Columbia, Missouri Area
Too many questions to ponder.
His combine numbers sucked and the game film on him is NOT impressive. He is lucky he was selected at all.
IF he is any good, he will go to came, work hard, and keep his mouth shut. If not, he will be a one year wonder
1. This gives Sam “cut” insurance.
2. His jersey is the second highest selling rookie jersey behind Johnny Football.
3. He enjoys prompting the gag reflex in people like you and me.
4. He hopes he gets some player reaction and so does his lawyer.
Cammisano, who swam for Missouri from 2009-2012, came out as gay in 2011. But since its not football or basketball, hardly anyone outside of Columbia noticed. Heres Cammisano in a Feb., 2014 article in the Columbia Missourian, talking about Greg DeStephen, a gay swimmer who came out in 2008.
He created an environment wherein Missouri swimmer Vito Cammisano came out to the team in 2011 and says he experienced zero anti-gay sentiment.
Im completely appreciative that Greg did everything he could to make that possible for people that came after him, says Cammisano, who swam for Missouri from 2009 to 2012.
Cammisano is currently an intern at Cumulus Broadcasting.
Why is it that a gay football player makes for big news, but a college swimmer who came out three years ago is virtually ignored? The Daily Mail, for example, isnt even sure which athlete first came out as gay at Missouri. The DM listed Cammisano as the first, when actually it was DeStephen, three years earlier.
He should be working out. He’s going to need the strength and conditioning when camp starts, and every offensive player is trying to avoid being bested by “the queer”.

Why did you choose Missouri?
I chose Mizzou for the sense of family I felt with the team. Nothing beats having teammates you know will be there for you no matter what. I also felt a connection with Stephanie Rovig on my recruiting trip.
How has the program at Mizzou made you a better swimmer?
By helping me become a smarter swimmer and racer. I’ve learned that perfect races do not just happen, but rather are a product of day in and day out training to my limits.
What is your best memory with the team?
Dinner at Cracker Barrel, after the Arkansas swim meet, singing English pub songs, and cheersing mugs after every sentence spoken with my mates Mark Conroy, Stephanie Rovig, and Melissa Jamerson.
Favorite food:Skittles, preferably Wild Berry flavored, but I will eat them all
What’s on your iPod:Tubthumping (”I Get Knocked Down” - Chumbawamba)
Favorite Harry Potter character:Lucius Malfoy
Favorite movie:Count of Monte Cristo
Quote to live by:”Dear me, what’s the use of being a disgrace to the name of wizard if they don’t even pay you well for it?” -Lucius Malfoy
He entered the NFL as a tight end.....
The St. Louis Rams fans must be so proud.
They went straight?
